This disclosure relates to a motor vehicle including a convertible work station. In some aspects, the techniques described herein relate to a motor vehicle, including a bedside panel including a door. The door is rotatable relative to a remainder of the bedside panel between a closed position, in which the door is substantially flush with the remainder of the bedside panel, and an open position. When the door is in the open position, the door provides a worktop and a compartment located interiorly of the bedside panel is accessible.

A vehicle cargo bed system includes a floor assembly that transitions back-and-forth between a standard floor position and an extended floor position. The floor assembly includes floor sections each having a cargo support surface. The floor sections are folded when the floor assembly is in the standard floor position. The floor sections are unfolded when the floor assembly is in the extended floor position. The assembly further includes first and second side wall assemblies of the cargo bed that transition back-and-forth between a standard wall position and an extended wall position. The first and second side wall assemblies each include an extendable portion and a fixed portion. The extendable portions extend and retract relative to the respective fixed portions when the first and second side wall assemblies transition back-and-forth between the standard wall position and the extended wall position.

A cargo bed system includes a side wall assembly of a cargo bed. The side wall assembly is configured to transition back-and-forth between a standard wall position and an extended wall position. The side wall assembly includes an extendable wall section and a fixed side wall section. The extendable wall section extends and retracts relative to the fixed side wall section when the side wall assembly transitions back-and-forth between the standard wall position and the extended wall position. The side wall assembly in the extended wall position provides a cargo bed access opening within the side wall assembly.

Electric charging stations with docking management and methods of use are disclosed herein. An example system can include a base station providing electrical power, a charging interface configured to couple with a charging port of a vehicle and a cradle of the base station, a controller associated with at least one of the base station, the charging interface, or combinations thereof, the controller configured to execute a docking ruleset to determine when a docking failure occurs between the charging interface and the cradle of the base station and execute a remediating action in response to the docking failure.

A vehicle includes a vehicle subsystem, a user interface, and a controller. The user interface is configured to display a plurality of selectable vehicle models. The controller is programmed to, in response to a selection of a particular vehicle model, adjust a parameter of the subsystem to emulate a corresponding subsystem parameter of the particular vehicle model.

A vehicle charging system includes a locking mechanism to secure a charge plug to a charge port of a vehicle. The system includes a wireless transceiver and a near field communication transceiver. The system further includes a controller programmed to, responsive to receiving a request to disengage the locking mechanism during charging, send the request to a vehicle owner via the wireless transceiver, and, responsive to receiving an unlock command via the wireless transceiver, disengage the locking mechanism.

Enhanced electrified vehicle charger security

Systems and methods for determining availability of a vehicle charging station are provided. One vehicle system includes a telematics unit configured to wirelessly communicate with a second telematics unit of a second vehicle electrically coupled to a charging station; a processor configured to obtain a remaining charge time from the second vehicle, using the telematics unit; and a display for displaying the remaining charge time in association with information related to the second vehicle. One method includes establishing, using a telematics unit, wireless communication with a second telematics unit of a second vehicle electrically coupled to the charging station; obtaining, using a processor, a remaining charge time from the second vehicle via the telematics unit; and displaying, on a display, the remaining charge time in association with information related to the second vehicle.
