The invention relates to an automated sprayer for spraying the walls of a bath and shower enclosure with a cleanser. The sprayer has a housing that can be mounted inside the shower enclosure and that defines a tray in which an inverted bottle of cleanser is stored. The bottom of the tray has a tube extending downwardly along a longitudinal axis through which the cleanser can pass. A motorized head disposed beneath the tube can be rotated about the axis for metering cleanser from the bottle and spraying cleanser outward. The sprayer includes timer circuitry that delays commencement of a spray for a set time and automatically stops spraying after a predetermined period. The sprayer also includes a system for signaling the beginning of a spray cycle including audio and visual alarms. The invention focuses on methods of using such equipment, as well as a container for supplying such equipment.

Automated cleansing sprayer

The present invention relates to a point-of-use water treatment system unit (). The unit () includes a filter housing assembly () having a filter tank assembly () and a closure () which utilizes a handle () and cammed reciprocating lock blades () to secure the closure () to the filter tank assembly (). A UV tank assembly () includes a planar baffle plate () and a vaned baffle plate () to induce plug flow about a UV lamp assembly (). The UV lamp assembly () is used which simultaneously electrically and sealingly mounts to UV tank assembly () and electrical cap assembly () using a bayonet mount. A bi-planar manifold assembly () is used to interconnect components of the WTS unit and to provide an envelope for accommodating a water pipe assembly (). The bi-planar manifold assembly () enhances the compactness of the design of the WTS unit (). Also, a support plate () is disclosed which provides support to subcomponents of the WTS unit () while also dissipating heat from a UV tank assembly ().

Point-of-use water treatment system

A trigger actuated aerosol spray cleaning device having a cleaning head mounted by a quick disconnect coupler to be independently pivotal about at least two axes. In one form, the coupler has a body with a socket receiving a plug end of the cleaning device which is retained by a button actuated, spring biased latching ring preventing axial separation from the coupler until the button is depressed. In another form, spring biased opposing jaws releasably clamp the head to the device. A swivel member pivotally mounts to either the coupler body or opposing jaws along one axis and to the cleaning head at a second axis. The swivel action in either case can be temporarily disabled by a sliding locking feature.

Cleaning device with universal motion quick disconnect head

A trigger actuated cleaning device includes an adjustable retainer assembly for alternately holding a full-size or compact aerosol spay canister, thereby allowing the device to be used as a mop with an extension wand and a large canister or a wandless hand-held device with a small canister. The retainer has a 'ski-boot' configuration with a heel assembly slidable on a fixed rail having a spring biased latch engaging the rim at the bottom of the canister and clamping it against a toe stop, which is configured to align the canister with a trigger operated actuator. The heel assembly slides and locks in position for either a full-size or compact canister to snap into the device. The canister is removed by depressing a thumb operated release lever which clears the latch from the canister.

Cleaner with adjustable aerosol canister retainer

A trigger-actuated cleaning device dispenses an aerosol cleaning agent from a pressurized canister. The canister has a female valve assembly. In one form an over cap fits onto the canister over the valve and has a male stem on a pivotable part of the over cap that opens the valve when moved by a rod linked to a remote trigger. The stem is either formed integrally with the over cap or is removably attached to a stem socket formed in the over cap. In another form the actuator is a button having a stem that fits in the female valve.

An overcap for use with a spray canister includes a peripheral wall adapted to attach to the spray canister, a cantilevered lever arm hingedly attached to the peripheral wall, and a nozzle within the cantilevered lever arm. The nozzle includes a stem socket adapted to receive a valve stem of the spray canister and adapted to provide a fan-shaped spray.

Overcap for use with a cleaning device

An actuator cap for use in radially locating a pressurized can in a sprayer device having a cradle for receiving the can. The actuator cap has a recess that engages an engagement land of the cradle and an actuator arm that is so located as to be movable by an actuation pin located in the engagement land. By such movement, the can's valve can be activated and its contents released. A method is also disclosed for activating a pressurized, axially extending can having a forwardly presenting valve while the can is held in pre-determined radial orientation within a sprayer device.

A device for spraying pesticides and/or agricultural treatment chemicals has a housing configured to retain a spray canister, an actuator rod on the housing configured to contact an overcap attached to the canister, a shaft connected to the housing, and a linkage to reverse a triggering force so that the actuator pushes against the overcap. Attachments can be provided in front of the sprayer nozzle, such as a shroud to limit back spray, a rake to disturb soil prior to treatment, a tapered director to focus spray in corners, or a fan shaped outlet to provide a wide spray.

A cleaning device includes a cleaning head, a housing connected to the cleaning head and configured to retain a spray canister, an actuator rod configured to contact an overcap attached to the canister, and a pivot link pivotally attached to the housing about a pivot point. The pivot point is positioned to allow contact between the actuator rod and the pivot link. In addition, a shaft assembly including a core is slidably disposed within the shaft assembly, with the slidable core being adapted to rotate the pivot link about the pivot point, and a handle is attached to the shaft assembly including a trigger mechanism. The trigger mechanism is adapted to move the slidable core toward the housing, which then pivots the pivot link, ultimately bringing the actuator rod into contact with the cap and causing a dispensing of contents of the canister.
