The appearance of natural rock faces are formed on planar panels or part portions disposed horizontally by stamping or texturizing a cementatious mixture of veneer material and then selectively applying colorant matter, which may include combinations of stains and mineral.

The invention provides a portable DC cooling fan that performs the dual function of a cooling fan and a sleep aid by generating air movement and white noise useful for inducing sleep. The portable device includes a DC axial fan under the control of an electrical control system that receives power through an AC/DC adapter. The electrical control system includes one or more user interface switches for selecting fan speed and optionally, selecting oscillation mode, thereby simulating the sounds of an oscillating fan without undergoing rotation. The portable DC cooling fan of the invention includes a housing having a plurality of openings on its front and rear surfaces that enable air flow through the device. The invention also provides an article of manufacturer comprising an AC/DC adapter packaged with a portable DC cooling fan of the invention.

An improved lighting control for a luminaire operates an LED luminaire so that its relay opens and closes at or very near the zero current cross-over point so as to reduce the in-rush current to the luminaire, and, if the relay contacts do become stuck, the photo control senses the sticking and electronically vibrates the relay to free its contacts.

A photocontrol controls the activation of lighting based on ambient light and the time of day using a radio-controlled timer. Radio signals from a particular source of correct time, such as the National Institute for Science and Technology's WWVB radio broadcast, carry encoded time information that can be decoded by the photocontrol to ascertain the current time on start up and periodically during operation. The correct date and time information is used to synchronize the photocontrol's internal clock so that it can turn the lighting load off or on at specific times of the day in accordance with the user's needs. Thus area, business signage, and security lighting, for example, can be turned off late at night and then back on early in the morning to reduce energy consumption by the lighting during those hours when the lighting is not needed.

A table shuffleboard has a rectangular table top with a divider rail down the center of the table separating the top into two playing courts along a substantial length of the tabletop. A crossover opening at a remote end from the players is provided to enable a sliding game piece or puck to be passed from one court to another, so that players can slide the puck and bank the puck against cushions from one court to the other for scoring during playing a game. The center divider rail includes cushions along its length for rebounding a puck, and the scoring areas are arranged to take into account the skill needed for banking shots in order to obtain high scores. A gate pin blocking arrangement is provided to prevent play when the device is used as a coin operated game.
