The present invention provides a plumbing fixture fitting having a spray mode with improved spray performance. The fitting includes a spray face. The spray face includes nozzles. The nozzles are operable to deliver water from the spray face in the form of a spray. The spray includes streamlets. An average unbroken length of the streamlets is greater than approximately two inches at a flow rate of approximately thirty-seven thousandths gallons per minute.

The present invention provides a plumbing fixture fitting having a spray mode with improved spray performance. The fitting includes a spray face. The spray face includes nozzles. The nozzles are operable to deliver water from the spray face in the form of a spray. The spray includes streamlets. A velocity of the spray from each of the streamlets is greater than approximately two-hundred fifty inches per second at a flowing pressure of approximately sixty pounds per square inch. In exemplary embodiments, each of the streamlets has a substantially uniform width along an entire length of the streamlet, an average unbroken length of the streamlets is greater than approximately two inches at a flow rate of approximately thirty-seven thousandths gallons per minute, and a splash created from the spray is less than approximately twenty percent at approximately one and a half gallons per minute.

The present invention provides a faucet including structure to ensure components of the faucet are properly and securely assembled together. In one embodiment, the faucet includes a valve body, a mounting tube, and a hose retainer. The valve body is operable to receive at least a portion of a cartridge assembly and to connect to at least two hoses. The mounting tube is operable to mount the faucet to a surface, to receive at least a portion of the valve body, and to connect to at least two hoses. The hose retainer is operable to interface between the valve body and the mounting tube and to connect to at least two hoses. The valve body, the mounting tube, the hose retainer, and the hoses include structure to ensure that the valve body, the mounting tube, the hose retainer, and the hoses are properly and securely assembled together.

A sillcock for supplying varying amounts of water at various temperatures includes a backpressure relief valve for relieving backpressure in the sillcock. The sillcock includes a sillcock tube and a valve body attached to the sillcock tube. A cartridge assembly is provided in the valve body, and an actuation assembly extends through the sillcock tube. The actuation assembly cooperates with the cartridge assembly to control the volume and temperature of water exiting the sillcock according to the axial and rotational movements of a knob. The backpressure relief valve includes a deformable member operable to allow water to be expelled from the sillcock if backpressure is present.
