A display device includes a flexible first substrate including a display part, a bending part provided at one side of the display part, and a pad part provided at an end of the bending part, wherein the display part includes a plurality of pixels; a second substrate facing the display part; a back film including a first film part and a second film part separated from the first film part, wherein the first film part is adhered to the display part of the flexible first substrate, and the second film part is adhered to the pad part; and a supporting member disposed between the first film part and a second film part.

Flexible display device and method of manufacturing the same

Discussed is a method of manufacturing a display device. The method of manufacturing the display device according to one example includes providing a first substrate including a display part, a bending part at one side of the display part, and a pad part at an end of the bending part. The method further includes providing a second substrate facing-coupled to the display part, providing a back film, and adhering the back film to a portion corresponding to the display part and the pad part on a bottom of the first substrate.

Method of manufacturing display device

A flexible display device includes a display panel configured to display images, a first substrate having a plurality of pixels disposed therein, and a second substrate coupled to the first substrate. The first substrate includes a display area, a bent part extending from the display area, and a pad part extending from the bent part. The flexible display device further includes a panel driver coupled to the pad part of the first substrate and configured to supply signals to the plurality of pixels on the display panel for displaying images. The first substrate further includes a first surface and a second surface, and the second substrate includes a third surface and a fourth surface. The first surface of the first substrate faces the fourth surface of the second substrate. The first substrate is curved at the bent part of the first substrate such that the pad part of the first substrate and the panel driver are disposed below the display area.

Discussed is a display device and a method of manufacturing the display device. The display device according to one example includes a display panel including a first substrate and a second substrate facing and coupled to the first substrate, wherein the first substrate includes a display part in which a plurality of pixels are formed, a bending part formed at one side of the display part, and a pad part formed at an end of the bending part; a back film adhered to a portion, corresponding to the display part and the pad part, in a bottom of the first substrate; and a supporting member formed to guide the bending part and support the back film adhered to a portion corresponding to the display part.

Display device with a reduced bezel width

A foldable display apparatus that may realize one seamless screen by using two display panels is discussed. The foldable display apparatus can include a first display panel having a first display area; a second display panel having a second display area; and a panel supporter supporting the first and second display panels to mutually fold or unfold the first and second display panels, wherein boundary portions of the first display area of the first display panel and the second display area of the second display panel are matched with each other in a state that the first and second display panels are unfolded.

A foldable display apparatus including a display panel configured to include a display area including a first display area, a second display area, and a bending area, a first panel supporting member configured to support a first area of the display panel corresponding to the first display area, a second panel supporting member configured to support a second area of the display panel corresponding to the second display area, and a folding part connected between the first and second panel supporting members to overlap the bending area and configured to guide the display panel for the display panel to be folded or unfolded to a plane state with respect to the bending area. Disclosed is a flexible display device. Embodiments relate to a hinge assembly in a foldable display device that provides support for a bending portion of a flexible display panel when the foldable display device in an unfolded state. The hinge assembly includes a bending portion support assembly and a sliding member that is slidable relative to the bending portion support assembly as the foldable display device is folded or unfolded. The hinge assembly also includes a surface that abuts the bending portion of the flexible display panel that defines the curvature of the flexible display panel when the foldable display device is rotated from the unfolded state.

Disclosed is a foldable display apparatus which can stably maintain a bending curvature of a folded flexible display, and can maintain a bending area of an unfolded flexible display in a plane state. The foldable display apparatus includes a link assembly connected between first and second housings to support a bending area of a display panel, and configured to guide bending of the bending area. The link assembly includes a plurality of bending guide members configured to support the bending area, a plurality of link parts connected to both ends of each of the plurality of bending guide members, and a plurality of link connecting members respectively provided between the plurality of link parts, and configured to connect two adjacent link parts.

Disclosed is a foldable display apparatus which can stably maintain a bending curvature of a folded flexible display, and can maintain a bending display area of an unfolded flexible display in a plane state. The foldable display apparatus includes a display panel folded or unfolded with respect to a bending display area, a first housing configured to support a first area of the display panel, a second housing physically coupled to a second area of the display panel, a link assembly connected between the first and second housings, and configured to support a bending display area of the display panel which is folded or unfolded, and a sliding assembly configured to slide the first area or second area of the display panel according to bending of the link assembly.
