A dental gypsum slurry includes water and a dental gypsum powder containing hemihydrate gypsum and a polycarboxylic acid salt-based water-reducing agent, wherein a powder-water ratio of the water to the dental gypsum powder is 0.24 to 0.50, and when the water and the dental gypsum powder being mixed are poured up to a height of 50 mm in a cylindrical mold having an inner diameter of 35 mm, which is vertically placed on a flat surface, and then, the cylindrical mold is pulled upward at 10 mm/s at 30 seconds after start of mixing so that a mixture spreads planarly, the diameter of the mixture is 141.4 mm or more.

Dental gypsum slurry

Provided is a dental gypsum powder having flowability, setting time, and strength of a set material that are suitable for producing a dental model. The dental gypsum powder contains 100 parts by weight of gypsum hemihydrate, 2 to 4 parts by weight of gypsum dihydrate, from 0.5 to 3 parts by weight of potassium sulfate, from 0.05 to 0.8 parts by weight of a polycarboxylate water reducing agent, and not contain more than 0.3 parts by weight of other additives. It is preferred that the amount of the polycarboxylate water reducing agent is from 0.15 to 0.3 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of gypsum hemihydrate, and the amount of the potassium sulfate is from 25% by weight to the same amount of the amount of the gypsum dihydrate.

The invention provides a dental gypsum-bonded investment material powder which can inhibit air bubbles from being generated in a mixed material, only by being mixed with water without using any special device or tool, and is easily mixed with the water. A specific siloxane is blended at a specific amount in relation to the dental gypsum-bonded investment material powder which includes an anionic surfactant and is excellent in a mold releasing action. In other words, the dental gypsum-bonded investment material powder is structured such as to have 0.001 to 0.2 weight % anionic surfactant, and 0.00001 to 0.0005 weight % cyclic siloxane having 3 to 10 SiO(CH)units.
