An accelerator pedal depression force control apparatus for a hybrid vehicle is arranged to increase the depression force of the accelerator pedal than a base depression force when the accelerator opening degree becomes larger than an accelerator opening degree threshold value, and arranged to set a the first accelerator opening degree based on an accelerator opening degree which switches from a first running mode in which the vehicle runs by driving only the electric motor, to a second running mode in which the internal combustion engine is driven, to set a second accelerator opening degree based on the accelerator opening degree by which the vehicle can run at a constant speed at each vehicle speed, and to set the accelerator opening degree threshold value as a larger one of the first accelerator opening degree and the second accelerator opening degree.

Hybrid vehicle accelerator pedal depressing force control device

In apparatus and method for controlling a driving force for an automotive vehicle, a manipulated variable of an accelerator is detected, a vehicular velocity is detected, a vehicular velocity control purpose target driving force is calculated from an absolute value of the manipulated variable of the accelerator and the vehicular velocity, an acceleration control purpose target driving force is calculated from either at least one of an absolute value of the accelerator manipulated variable and a variation velocity of the manipulated variable of the accelerator or from at least one of an absolute value of a result of calculation of the vehicular velocity control purpose target driving force and a variation velocity of the result of calculation of the same, and both of the vehicular velocity control purpose target driving force and the acceleration control purpose target driving force are synthesized to achieve a target driving force of the vehicle.

Driving force control apparatus and method for automotive vehicle

The vehicle driving force control apparatus includes a target driving force computing component that is configured to calculate a target driving force. The vehicle driving force control apparatus further includes a zone attribute detecting component that is configured to detect zone attributes and a requested driving force detecting component that is configured to detect a requested driving force. The target driving force computing component has a zone attribute compensation control section that is configured to calculate a compensation driving force according to the zone attribute being detected and a compensation driving force upper limit value setting section that is configured to set an upper limit value for the compensation driving force in response to the requested driving force. The compensation driving force limited with the upper limit value is used as a final compensation driving force.

Vehicle driving force control apparatus

An automatic transmission ( ) converts the output torque of an engine ( ) into a drive torque for the vehicle. The automatic transmission ( ) is provided with a first gear and a second gear which has a smaller speed reduction ratio than the first gear. The gears are selectively applied according to the vehicle speed and the accelerator pedal depression amount. A controller ( ) stores a first map ( ) which prescribes the transmission target output torque with the first gear according to the vehicle speed and the depression amount, and a second map ( ) which prescribes the transmission target output torque with the second gear according to the vehicle speed and the depression amount. The first map applies a larger transmission target output torque than the second map at a given vehicle speed and depression amount. The transmission target output torque is calculated by looking up either of these maps corresponding to the gear applied by the automatic transmission ( ). Thus saturation of the transmission target output torque can be prevented by controlling the output torque of the engine ( ) based on the transmission target output torque thus obtained.

Vehicle drive force control

The upshift and downshift timing of an automatic transmission ( ) is set with a predetermined hysteresis in response to the vehicle speed and the depression amount of the accelerator pedal ( ). When the accelerator pedal ( ) is depressed in a hysteresis region before a downshift, the output torque of the automatic transmission ( ) is saturated before the depression amount takes a maximum value. As a result, even when depressing the accelerator pedal ( ) further, increases do not result in the output torque of the automatic transmission ( ). When the depression amount is less than a predetermined value, this invention sets the rate of increase in the target output torque of the automatic transmission ( ) to a value which is smaller than the rate of increase when the depression amount is greater than the predetermined value. Thus saturation of the output torque of the automatic transmission ( ) can be prevented by controlling the engine output based on the target output torque determined in this manner while the rate of increase in the drive force when the accelerator pedal ( ) is deeply depressed can be maintained.

A driving force control apparatus is configured to prevent degradation of acceleration performance and the occurrence of large torque shock when shifting from the non-execution to the execution of a driving force control operation. A first target driving force is selected when the driving force control operation is being executed and a second target driving force is selected when the driving force control operation is not being executed. When shifting from the execution to the non-execution, the shifting target driving force is calculated such that the driving force shifts slowly. When accelerating from rest or a slow speed, the speed at which the driving force control operation shifts into the execution mode is increased as the accelerator position becomes larger.

Driving force control apparatus

A driving force control system is provided for an automotive vehicle powertrain. The driving force control system has an accelerator pedal sensor to detect the vehicle's operator depression of an accelerator pedal of the vehicle, a vehicle speed sensor to detect a vehicle speed of the vehicle, and a powertrain control module. The powertrain control modules includes a microprocessor to determine an ordinary target driving force in response to the vehicle's operator depression of the accelerator pedal and the vehicle speed, to determine a running resistance increment, to determine a driving force correction in response to the vehicle's operator depression and the driving force correction, and to determine a corrected target driving force after correcting the ordinary target driving force with the driving force correction.
