A radio-frequency module includes an integrated circuit (IC) device and an external inductor provided outside the IC device. The IC device includes a plurality of low-noise amplifiers, one or more inductors, and a switching circuit. The plurality of low-noise amplifiers includes a plurality of transistors in one to one correspondence. The one or more inductors are coupled to one or more of the plurality of transistors. Each inductor is coupled to the emitter or source of a corresponding one of the plurality of transistors. The switching circuit is coupled between the emitter or source of each of the plurality of transistors and the external inductor. The external inductor is coupled between the switching circuit and ground in series with each of the one or more inductors via the switching circuit.

Radio-frequency module and communication device

A radio frequency module includes: a module board including first and second principal surfaces on opposite sides of the module board; a semiconductor integrated circuit (IC) including third and fourth principal surfaces on opposite sides of the semiconductor IC; and an external-connection terminal disposed on the second principal surface. The third principal surface faces the second principal surface and is closer to the second principal surface than the fourth principal surface is to the second principal surface, and the semiconductor IC includes: at least one of (i) a power amplifier (PA) control circuit configured to control a radio frequency component using a control signal, (ii) a low noise amplifier configured to amplify a reception signal, or (iii) a switch; and a signal electrode disposed on the fourth principal surface, and via the signal electrode the semiconductor IC is configured to receive or output a radio frequency signal and/or the control signal.

Radio frequency module and communication device

A duplexer module prevents a transmission signal and a reception signal in the same band from interfering with each other. The duplexer module includes a transmission line, a reception line, and an antenna common line. In addition, the duplexer module includes a plurality of mounting electrodes arranged along the four sides of an outer edge of a mounting surface of a multilayer substrate. The fourth mounting electrode defining a monitoring port is disposed on a side different from a side on which each of the first mounting electrode defining a transmission port, the second mounting electrode defining a reception port, and the third mounting electrode defining an antenna port is disposed. The fourth mounting electrode defining the monitoring port is a mounting electrode used to output a signal of the monitoring line through which a portion of electrical power is transmitted from the transmission line.

Duplexer module

A voltage-controlled oscillator is constructed to greatly reduce the number of parts required, its overall size, and manufacturing cost. The voltage-controlled oscillator includes first and second resonance circuits, first and second oscillation circuits, a buffer circuit amplifying the oscillation signals output from the first and second oscillation circuits, and an output-matching circuit. In addition, the voltage-controlled oscillator includes a first switching circuit for controlling the oscillation of the first oscillation circuit and a second switching circuit for controlling the oscillation of the second oscillation circuit. The impedance changing of the matching circuit is simultaneously performed while switching between the switching circuits.
