The invention relates to [1] an aqueous microcapsule dispersion containing a component (A): microcapsules each having a shell and a core containing at least one organic compound inside the shell, and a component (B): a surfactant containing a quaternary ammonium salt compound represented by the general formula (1), wherein the ratio by mass of the content of the component (A) to the content of the component (B) [component (A)/component (B)] is 0.1 or more and 20 or less, and [2] a dispersant for microcapsules, containing a surfactant that contains a quaternary ammonium salt compound represented by the general formula (1).

Aqueous microcapsule dispersion

The present invention relates to a process for producing microcapsules each including a core-shell type structure having a core portion containing at least one functional compound and a shell portion, the process including: step (1): mixing at least one functional compound, a water-soluble monomer (monomer (A)), a crosslinkable monomer having two or more (meth)acryloyl groups (monomer (B)), an oil-soluble polymerization initiator, an organic chain-transfer agent, and water, to obtain a monomer emulsion; and step (2): heating the monomer emulsion obtained in the step (1) to polymerize the monomers, thereby obtaining microcapsules, the organic chain transfer agent having a ClogP value of 3 or less.

Method for producing microcapsule

The present invention provides a process for producing microcapsules capable of retaining an organic compound as an active ingredient such as fragrance materials therein over a long period of time. The present invention relates to process for producing microcapsules, which includes step (1) of emulsifying an organic phase including at least one organic compound and a tetraalkoxysilane such that a content of the tetraalkoxysilane in the organic phase is not less than 10% by mass and not more than 60% by mass on the basis of the organic compound, in a water phase inducing a surfactant, and subjecting the resulting emulsion to a sol-gel reaction under acidic conditions to form capsules each including the core and the first shell; and step (2) of further adding a tetraalkoxysilane to a water dispersion containing the capsules obtained in the step (1), and subjecting the obtained mixture to a sol-gel reaction while maintaining an initial pH value in the sol-gel reaction of the step (2) below an initial pH value in the sol-gel reaction of the step (1) to form the capsules each including the second shell encapsulating the first shell.

Method for manufacturing microcapsules

An excellent potential-dependent cation channel inhibitor or an excellent masking agent is provided. Method for inhibition of potential-dependent cation channel

Disclosed is a deodorant particle having a BET specific surface area of 10 m/g or more that are obtained by copolymerizing a monomer system including a crosslinkable vinyl monomer and a vinyl monomer having a heteroaromatic ring. The deodorant particles may contain a metal ion. Also disclosed is a process of producing the deodorant particles including the step of copolymerizing a monomer system containing a crosslinkable vinyl monomer and a vinyl monomer having a heteroaromatic ring by oil-in-water emulsion polymerization or precipitation polymerization using an organic solvent whose solubility parameter is different from that of the monomers by an absolute difference of 0 to 2.0. The process can further include the step of bringing the particles obtained by the polymerization into contact with a solvent having a metal salt dissolved therein to support a metal ion on the particle.
