Connector

A connector includes a terminal, a housing, and a temperature sensor. The terminal includes a terminal connection portion that is electrically connected to a counterpart terminal, a wire connection portion that is electrically connected to a wire, and a tubular portion that is located between the terminal connection portion and the wire connection portion and is formed in a tubular shape having a space portion (accommodation space portion). The temperature sensor is disposed in the space portion of the terminal. The tubular portion is accommodated inside the housing in a state where the terminal is held by the housing.

A connector manufacturing method includes: a first insertion process of inserting a conductor held by a housing through an annular seal member; a second insertion process of inserting the conductor through an annular portion of a support member; a pushing-in process of pushing the seal member into a gap between an inner circumferential surface of a recess in the housing and the conductor by pressing the seal member using the annular portion; and an engagement process of making the annular portion support the seal member at a predetermined position by engaging the support member and the housing, wherein the predetermined position is a position before a bottom portion of the recess.

A connector includes a terminal, a housing, a temperature sensor, and a holding structure. The holding structure holds the temperature sensor so as to be movable in at least a first orthogonal direction in a space portion (housing formation space portion). The housing has the base portion and the pressing arm portion extending from the base portion in the contact direction and elastically deformable with respect to the first orthogonal direction orthogonal to the contact direction. The pressing arm portion has a protrusion portion that protrudes into the space portion and comes into contact with the temperature sensor. When the protrusion portion comes into contact with the temperature sensor, the pressing arm portion is elastically deformed to press the temperature sensor located in the space portion with respect to the first orthogonal direction, and the pressed temperature sensor is brought into contact with the terminal.

A connection terminal includes: a terminal fitting; an insulating covering member attachable and detachable from one end in a virtual axis direction of the terminal fitting along the virtual axis direction; and a locking structure undetachably locking the covering member to the terminal fitting. An electric wire with a connector includes: an opening portion that is provided to a connector housing, and that allows an electric wire to be pulled out of the connector housing; a closing body that has an electric wire insertion hole for inserting and passing the electric wire pulled out of a wire outlet of the opening portion, and that closes the wire outlet by being attached to the opening portion; and a protecting member that is tubular and into and through which the electric wire pulled out of the wire outlet via the electric wire insertion hole is inserted and passed. The closing body includes: a housing chamber that houses one end of the protecting member; and an inserted portion that includes the housing chamber and that is inserted into the opening portion.

A connector includes a terminal fitting, an insulating housing, and a conductive shield shell. The terminal fitting includes an electrical connecting part electrically connected to a mating terminal of a mating connector and an electric wire connecting part electrically connected to a terminal of an electric wire. The housing accommodates the electrical connecting part in an inward accommodation space and causes the electric wire connecting part to protrude outward. The shield shell accommodates a space from the housing to the terminal of the electric wire inward and covers the space from outside. The shield shell includes a main shield that covers the housing from outside and a tubular sub-shield that covers the electric wire connecting part and the terminal of the electric wire from outside and is provided for each of the terminal fitting.

A female connector includes a female terminal and a female side insulation member. The female terminal includes a tubular-shaped female side connection body having a female side space portion therein into which the male side connection body is fitted in an inserting manner on a same cylinder axis. The female side insulation member includes a finger touch prevention body inserted into a first space portion of the outer tubular body and a male side space portion of the male side connection body. The finger touch prevention body is projected more than a tip end surface of the female side connection body. An insulating annular body projected more than the tip end surface of the female side connection body on a same cylinder axis is provided outside the female side space portion in a direction orthogonal to a cylinder axis direction of the female side connection body.

A shield connector can easily suppress contact failure between terminal metal fittings due to vibration, and a connector connection structure can include the shield connector. In a large-diameter part in the natural state, a direction dimension passing through a tip of a protrusion is larger than a fastening direction dimension from an abutting part to a first clamping part in the shield case, a fastening member inserted into a fixed part is fastened, and the inner housing is thus hard to vibrate in the shield case. Therefore it is possible to suppress poor contact between a terminal fitting held by the inner housing and a mating terminal fitting. At this time, it is unnecessary to add a new process in order to suppress vibration of the inner housing, easily suppressing a contact failure between the terminal fittings.

Provided is a connector connection structure which is configured to directly connect connectors provided to casings of two devices, respectively, to each other, and which can keep sealing property of the connector connection portion. A second terminal is arranged movable with respect to a second casing, thus displacement of a first casing and the second casing with respect to each other can be absorbed by allowing the second terminal to move, thereby allowing the connectors provided respectively to the casings of the two devices to be directly connected to each other. At this time, a connector-side opening of a second housing is closed using a first housing of a first connector as a mating connector, thereby keeping sealing property of the connector connection portion while allowing the connectors provided respectively to the casings of the two devices to be directly connected to each other.
