A muscle activity output system includes: a muscle activity database configured to hold movable part attitude information and muscle activity information in such a manner that the movable part attitude information and the muscle activity information are linked to each other; and a processor. The movable part attitude information indicates an attitude of a movable part of training equipment. The muscle activity information indicates a muscle activity of each of muscle sites of the exerciser. The processor is configured to acquire the movable part attitude information while the exerciser is moving the body along the trajectory, acquire current muscle activity information for each of the muscle sites based on current movable part attitude information of the training equipment and the muscle activity database, and output the current muscle activity information for each of the muscle sites.

Muscle activity output system

In a vehicle steering apparatus of a steer-by-wire system, front wheels are controlled to be turned by a computer program processing. A displacement/torque conversion sectionconverts a steering angle &#x3b8; into a steering torque Td that is in relation of exponential function. A torque/lateral-acceleration conversion sectionconverts the steering torque Td into an anticipated lateral acceleration Gd (or anticipated yaw rate &#x3b3;d and anticipated turning curvature &#x3c1;d) that is in relation of exponentiation function and that serves as a vehicle motion state quantity that can be perceived by a human. A turning angle conversion sectioncalculates a target turning angles &#x3b4;d necessary for the vehicle to move with the anticipated lateral acceleration Gd (or anticipated yaw rate &#x3b3;d and anticipated turning curvature &#x3c1;d). A turning control sectioncontrols the steered wheels to be turned into the target turning angle &#x3b4;d. A driver turns the handle, feeling the lateral acceleration, and hence, the driver can easily drive the vehicle.

Control system for a steer-by-wire vehicle

A stabilizer system for a vehicle including: a stabilizer bar connected to left and right wheels at respective opposite ends thereof; an actuator which has an electric motor and which changes elastic force to be exhibited by the stabilizer bar, as a result of control of an operation of the electric motor; and a control device which controls the operation of the electric motor, wherein the control device includes an operation-mode changing portion which changes an operation mode of the electric motor that depends on a motor-phase-connecting formation and a power-supply status of the electric motor, on the basis of at least one of a vehicle running state and road surface condition.

Vehicle stabilizer system

In a stabilizer control apparatus for transmitting a power through a speed reducing mechanism, a rolling motion of a vehicle body is restrained smoothly and rapidly, without being affected by transmitting efficiency of the speed reducing mechanism. As for a stabilizer (SBf) including a pair of stabilizer bars (SBfr, SBfl) disposed between a right wheel and a left wheel, and a stabilizer actuator (FT) driven by an electric motor disposed between them, the electric motor M is controlled in response to a turning state of a vehicle, to control a torsional rigidity of the stabilizer. Furthermore, the apparatus comprises relative position detection means for detecting the relative position of the pair of stabilizer bars (for example, obtained from a relationship between a rotational angle of the electric motor and a reducing speed ratio), and it is so constituted that the electric motor is controlled in response to the detected result.

Stabilizer control apparatus

A suspension system for a vehicle includes a roll control device, which includes an actuator, for controlling roll, and a control device including a target control value determining portion determining target control value of the actuator and an operation control portion controlling the actuator on the basis of the target control value. The target control value determining portion determines the target control value on the basis of estimated lateral acceleration when degree of actual lateral acceleration is smaller than a predetermined threshold, and by weighting the estimated lateral acceleration to gradually decrease from one to zero and by weighting the actual lateral acceleration to gradually increase from zero to one when the actual lateral acceleration is greater than the predetermined threshold, the target control value determining portion determines the target control value of the actuator on the basis of the sum of the weighted estimated lateral acceleration and the weighted actual lateral acceleration.

Suspension system for vehicle

In a stabilizer control apparatus for a vehicle, a stabilizer includes a pair of stabilizer bars disposed between a right wheel and a left wheel of the vehicle, and an actuator having an electric motor disposed between the stabilizer bars. A turning determination device is provided for determining a turning operation of the vehicle. And, a controller is provided for controlling the electric motor in response to the result determined by the turning determination device. The electric motor is substantially prohibited from being fed with electric current, when the turning operation of the vehicle is being decreased.

A stabilizer control device includes a stabilizer having torsion bars and a brushless motor having an exciting coil, a rotating direction switching device switching a rotating direction of the brushless motor, an excitation control device for controlling power supplied to the exciting coil, a vehicle state detecting device, a rotating state detecting device, a roll control device for reducing a rolling movement of the vehicle, a brake mode by which all the switching elements of one of the first switching element group and the second switching element group are controlled to be in a conducting state, and all the switching elements of the other of the first switching element group and the second switching element group are controlled to be in a non-conducting state; and a brake mode executing device for executing the brake mode in accordance with the state of the roll control device.

Stabilizer control device

An energization control device is provided to prevent rapid decrease of current which is flowing through each of phase coils of an electric motor. A time duration is divided into three stages which ranges from an initiation of the current supply to the phase coil to a termination of the current supply to the phase coil. At the first stage, the second stage, and the third stage, soft/hard chopping energization control, 0-volt energization, and duty chopping energization control, respectively, are made. Energizing the phase coil is made by way of a first switching element and a second switching element. At the first stage, depending on an actual current value being in excess of a target current value, either of or both of the first switching element and the second element are made OFF. At the second stage, while the second switching element is being made OFF, the second switching element is made ON. At third stage, while the second switching element is being made OFF, the first switching element is, at a duty cycle, made ON and OFF alternately in repetition.

Energization control device for electric motors

In order to make an electric motor smooth in drive with improving the electric consumption efficiency, the over heat of a motor driver and vibrations thereat are restricted which result from chopping energization of the electric motor.

Chopping energization control device

For detecting a coil short-circuit in an electric motor such as a switched reluctance motor, an apparatus includes a first phase coil, a second phase coil, and a third phase coil. Through each of the coils, a current, whose amount is sensed by a current sensor, flows in such manner that the amount ranges from zero to a reference current amount in a reference set-up time duration. If the detected amount of current by the current sensor becomes the reference current amount in a time duration which is shorter than the reference set-up time duration and the resultant condition continues for an another reference time duration, it is regarded that a short-circuit occurs in the phase coil corresponding to the current sensor and the apparatus stops the electric motor.

Apparatus for detecting a coil short circuit in an electric motor

Angle bounds of a normal energization of the coil of an electric motor are generated in accordance with a combination of a rotation direction and a torque direction of the electric motor. Angle bounds of the decided energization are determined based on a decision of either energization or deenergization of the coil and the detected rotation angle of the rotor. An abnormal condition is determined to exist when the angle bounds of the decided energization are not within the angle bounds of the normal energization.

Energization controller for a phase coil of an electric motor

A fuel cell includes a sheet-shaped solid electrolyte which exhibits ion conductivity, a fuel electrode to which is supplied fuel functioning as a negative electrode active material, and an oxygen electrode to which is supplied oxygen functioning as a positive electrode active material. The fuel electrode is positioned on one surface of the solid electrolyte while the oxygen electrode is positioned on the opposite surface of the solid electrolyte. A fuel electrode electricity collector has a plurality of first projection portions that contact the surface of the fuel electrode that faces away from the solid electrolyte. As a result, a plurality of fuel passages are formed through which fuel is to be passed. An oxygen electrode electricity collector has a plurality of second projecting portions that contact the surface of the oxygen electrode facing away from these solid electrolyte. As a result, a plurality of oxygen passages are formed through which oxygen is to be passed. At least one of the first projecting portions or one of the second projecting portions is provided with a curved portion. This results in an improvement in the electrical collectability of the fuel cell.

Fuel cell

A fuel cell includes a sheet-shaped solid electrolyte having opposite surfaces, and exhibiting ion conductivity, a plurality of fuel electrodes disposed adjacent to each other on one of the opposite surfaces of the solid electrolyte, to which fuel working as a negative electrode active material is supplied, a plurality of oxygen electrodes disposed adjacent to each other on the other one of the opposite surfaces of the solid electrolyte, to which oxygen working as a positive electrode active material is supplied, the fuel electrodes being electrically connected to the oxygen electrodes in series. The fuel cell is downsized and lightweighted, but can produce a high voltage output, because a plurality of fuel and oxygen electrodes are disposed on one cell. A plurality of the cells can laminated so as to face the same electrodes of the neighboring cells. The cell can further include an electricity collector, a cooling member, or a separator which is laminated on at least one of the fuel and oxygen electrodes.
