According to one embodiment, a wireless communication device includes: a receiver that configured to receives a first frame; and a transmitter that configured to transmits a second frame including a first identifier and acknowledgement information on the first frame, the first identifier being extracted from a predetermined field of the first frame and being different from a source address of the first frame.

A memory system includes a memory device including memory chips and a controller. The controller includes first processors configured to perform first processing of network packets in at least one of a network layer and a transport layer of a network protocol, and second processors configured to perform second processing with respect to the memory chips. The controller is configured to extract tag information from a header of a network packet, select one of the first processors associated with a first memory chip that is identified based on the tag information, and control the selected one of the first processors to perform the first processing with respect to the network packet, which causes one of the second processors associated with the first memory chip to perform the second processing based on a payload of the network packet.

A memory system includes a packet protection circuit. The packet protection circuit includes a plurality of first CRC calculation circuits, each configured to calculate a CRC of M-byte data, where M is an integer greater than or equal to 1 and less than N, where N is an integer greater than or equal to 2, a first selector configured to output a CRC calculation result of one of the first CRC calculation circuits, and a second CRC calculation circuit configured to calculate a CRC of L-byte data, where L&#x3c;N, where L=N&#xd7;Z, and Z is an integer greater than 1, and add the CRC of L-byte data to the CRC calculation result output from the first selector to generate a first CRC that is compared with a second CRC to detect an error in a data packet transmitted between the host interface unit and the host device.

According to one embodiment, a memory device includes a semiconductor memory, a memory controller which controls the semiconductor memory according to a request from outside the device, a radio section for wireless communication, and a controller. The controller manages storing data in the device according to a procedure for protecting copyright, obtains the latest version of a parameter for protecting copyright which can be updated from outside the device via the radio section, includes a comparator which compares the parameter stored in the device with the latest version of the parameter, and includes an update manager which updates the stored parameter to the latest version of the parameter when they are different.

A wireless communication apparatus includes a first module, a second module, an inhibit module, a calculation module, and a control module. The first module constitutes a first system. The first system transmits and receives first data to and from a first device. The second module constitutes a second system. The second system transmits and receives second data to and from a second device in each interval time-divided with determined transmission timing. The inhibit module generates inhibit periods for preventing the first module from communicating by use of the first data. The calculation module calculates an occupation time required for the transmission and reception of the first data. The control module compares the period between the inhibit periods adjacent to one another with the occupation time and, according to the comparison result, instructs the first device to stop or delay the transmission of the first data.

Wireless communication apparatus with physical layer processing module and MAC layer processing module and its communication method

According to one embodiment, a wireless communication device includes a first transmitting/receiving unit, a first physical processor, and a first MAC processor. The first transmitting/receiving unit transmits one first wireless signal and receives a second wireless signal by a first wireless communication method using a frequency band with a certain bandwidth. The first physical processor decodes the second wireless signal to obtain a frame and encodes a frame of the first wireless signal to be transmitted. The first MAC processor supplies a control frame generated by embedding a first frame to a MAC header of a second frame to the physical processor as the frame. The first frame is recognizable by the first wireless communication method and a second wireless communication method. The second frame is recognizable by the first wireless communication method but is not recognizable by the second wireless communication method.

A wireless communication apparatus includes a transmission section and a control section. The transmission section transmits data using wireless communication. The control section controls a transmission rate for the transmission section. The control section limits data size of data to be transmitted to at most a prescribed value and requests a transmission acknowledgement, during a period from immediately after a change in the transmission rate until number of times that the transmission section transmits data reaches a prescribed number of times.

The measuring section measures a first transmission and reception time spent on actual data transmission and reception during a first communication-enabled period in which data communication based on the first wireless communication scheme is permitted, and measures a second transmission and reception time spent on actual data transmission and reception during a second communication-enabled period in which data communication based on the second wireless communication scheme is permitted. The communication period determining section determines lengths of the first and second communication-enabled periods in accordance with the first and second transmission and reception times measured by the measuring section.

Wireless communication base station device configured to use plural communication schemes, and wireless communication system

A wireless communication apparatus includes management units and a decision unit. The apparatus is capable of receiving a plurality of items of data each including data frames each transmitted from the same data transmitter and managed under the same traffic identifier. The apparatus acknowledges the transmission of the data for the data transmitter in response to the reception of the data. Each of the management units holds acknowledgement information to acknowledge the transmission for each of the items of data. The decision unit, when the data is newly received, causes any one of the management units whose information amount of the acknowledgement information already held is smaller not only to discard the acknowledgement information but also to hold the acknowledgement information on the newly received data.
