Detection outputs value based on outputs of a sensor for detecting a depressed position of a pedal are input via the input section; meanwhile, a detection output value corresponding to a non-depressed state of the pedal is set as an offset value. The detection output value, input via the input section, is adjusted with the offset value, so as to provide an adjusted detection output value corresponding to an actual depressed amount of the pedal. The adjusted detection output value is converted into a control value corresponding to the depressed amount of the pedal. Thus, the offset value is variably set in accordance with an individual difference, aging, etc. of the pedal, so that the detection output value adjusted with such an offset value can be a value having unevenness in the sensor outputs, which may have occurred due to an individual difference, aging, etc. of the pedal, automatically compensated.

A keyboard electronic musical instrument is of a type which comprises a keyboard including a plurality of individual keys for playing individual musical notes and arrayed in a first direction, and a key detecting device for detecting respective key depression velocities of the individual keys. The instrument further comprises an indicator device which presents a plurality of bar-graphic indications respectively for the individual keys in the keyboard, the bar-graphic indications being arrayed side by side in the first direction, each bar-graphic indication being elongate in a second direction which is perpendicular to the first direction and representing the key depression velocity of each of the individual keys. When a key is depressed, the key depression velocity is detected and the bar-graphic indication which corresponds to the depressed key is illuminated in green color with a length representing the key depression velocity. When performance data containing velocity data of the respective note is given, the bar-graphic indication of the corresponding key of the note is illuminated in red color with a length representing the velocity of the note.

Negative impedance driving apparatus having temperature compensation

A driving apparatus for driving an electro-acoustic transducer comprises a power amplifier for supplying a drive power to the transducer, and a feedback circuit for generating a negative impedance. The feedback circuit has a main body portion connected to the amplifier and a control information storage body for storing control information for setting transmission characteristics of the feedback circuit. The storage body is arranged to be disconnected/connected to the main body portion. The main body portion comprises a plurality of transducer connection terminals connected to a plurality of transducers, respectively, a plurality of relays and normally-open contacts for selectively supplying an amplifier output to the transducer connection terminals. A transducer selection information is housed in the control information storage body. Thus, when the control information storage body is mounted in the main body portion in accordance with the transducer selection information, a relay and a contact is operated, the amplifier output is supplied to a predetermined transducer.
