A detection device is provided including first substrate including first region, second region and third region arranged in first direction, second region arranged between first and third regions; first detection electrode arranged on first substrate; second detection electrode arranged on first substrate and being adjacent to first detection electrode; first electrode coupled to first detection electrode and continuously formed from first to third regions; second electrode coupled to second detection electrode, and continuously formed from first to third regions, convex portions located between first electrode and second electrode in second region and spaced away from first and second electrodes; and protective layer formed on first and second electrodes in first region and not formed on first electrode and second electrode in third region, wherein at least one of convex portions is covered with protective layer, and at least another one of convex portions is not covered with protective layer.

A sensor-equipped display device is provided including a display panel including a substrate, a sensor drive electrode, and a detection electrode opposed to the sensor drive electrode, wherein the detection electrode includes first and second layers in a first direction, the first layer has a first width in a second direction intersecting the first direction, the second layer has a second width in the second direction, the second width being wider than the first width, the first layer includes first lower and upper surfaces, the first upper surface being between the first lower surface and the second layer, the second layer includes a second lower surface located on the first upper surface, and a second upper surface opposed to the second lower surface, the second lower surface being between the second upper surface and the first layer, the second lower surface has a first region which is in contact with the first upper surface and a second region which is not in contact with the first upper surface, and the second region includes a part of an edge of the second lower surface.

Sensor-equipped display device and sensor device

A detection device includes a first substrate including a first region, a second region and a third region, the second region arranged between the first region and the third region; a detection electrode arranged on the first substrate; a first electrode coupled to the detection electrode, continuously formed from the first region to the third region in a first direction on the first substrate, and including a plurality of concave portions in the second region; and a protective layer formed on the first electrode in the first region, wherein the protective layer is formed on a first one of the concave portions in the second region, wherein the protective film is not formed on a second one of the concave portions in the second region, the second one of the concave portions is arranged nearer to the third region than the first one of the concave portions.

According to one embodiment, a display device includes an insulating substrate including a first surface, and a second surface opposite to the first surface, a circuit board mounted on the first surface, a supporting member adhered to the insulating substrate on the second surface, and an antistatic layer located between the insulating substrate and the supporting member.

Display device

An electrode substrate includes a sensing electrode formed on a glass substrate, a concave/convex pattern formed on the glass substrate, and a protective film formed so as to cover the sensing electrode. The concave/convex pattern is disposed closer to an outer periphery of the glass substrate than the sensing electrode is when seen in a plan view. The protective film is formed so as to cover a part of the glass substrate positioned between the sensing electrode and the concave/convex pattern when seen in a plan view.

Electrode substrate, display device, input device and method of manufacturing electrode substrate

According to one embodiment, a sensor-equipped display device includes a display panel including a sensor drive electrode and a detection electrode opposed to the sensor drive electrode and a driver, wherein the detection electrode includes a first layer formed in a thin line shape, and a second layer on the first layer in a plan view of the display area, the second layer having a reflectivity lower than that of the first layer, the outer edge of a second lower surface of the second layer is shifted with respect to the outer edge of a first upper surface of the first layer in a plan view, and the outermost outer edge of the second layer is positioned outside the outermost outer edge of the first layer in a plan view.

To reduce disturbances in display of images due to static electricity without deteriorating optical properties in a display. The display includes a conductive pattern provided on the upper surface of the substrate, a protection layer provided on the upper surface of the substrate to cover the conductive pattern, and a conductive layer provided on the protection layer. The sheet resistance of the conductive pattern is not more than 8 &#x3a9;/square. A ratio of the total sum of areas of portions of the plurality of sub-pixels that overlap the conductive pattern in a plan view to the total sum of the areas of the plurality of sub-pixels is 1 to 22%. A sheet resistance of the conductive layer is higher than the sheet resistance of the conductive pattern.

Display

According to one embodiment, a liquid crystal display device, includes a first substrate including a scanning signal line, a video signal line, a first electrode, a color filter, a common line in contact with the first electrode along the video signal line, an antireflection layer located on the common line, a transparent layer located on the antireflection layer, and a second electrode, a liquid crystal layer located on the first substrate, and a second substrate located on the liquid crystal layer, the transparent layer having a thickness of 10 nm or more and 40 nm or less.

Liquid crystal display device

When a protective film is formed so as to cover an electrode, a position of an end portion of the protective film is highly accurately adjusted. An electrode substrate includes a second substrate, and a sensing electrode continuously formed on the second substrate from a first region on an upper surface of the second substrate via a second region on the upper surface of the second substrate over a third region on the upper surface of the second substrate. Also, the electrode substrate includes a concave/convex pattern formed on the sensing electrode or the second substrate in the second region, and a protective film formed in the first region and the second region so as to cover the sensing electrode. An end portion of the protective film on the third region side is positioned on the concave/convex pattern.

Electrode substrate, display device, input device, and method of manufacturing electrode substrate

In a wall electrode liquid crystal display device, planar distribution of the wall structure and the electrode is optimized to improve a yield. A liquid crystal display device includes a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix, each of the pixels having an insulator wall structure formed at a border of pixels, a wall electrode formed at a side surface of the wall structure of the border of the pixels, a source electrode which is continuous with the wall electrode and formed of a planar electrode extending in a planar direction, a first common electrode provided between source electrodes at both sides of the pixel to form a retentive capacitance, and a second common electrode provided between wall electrodes on both sides of the pixel. A slit which becomes a border of the wall electrodes of two adjacent pixels is disposed only on a top of the wall structure.

Liquid crystal display device and method for manufacturing the same

A manufacturing process of an electrode substrate includes a step of forming a protective layer so as to cover a conductor pattern by applying raw material liquid discharged as droplets to an upper surface of a substrate in a first region and a second region of the upper surface of the substrate. At this time, an application amount of the raw material liquid per unit area in the second region is made smaller than an application amount of the raw material liquid per unit area in the first region, so that an average film thickness of the protective layer of a portion formed in the second region is made smaller than an average film thickness of the protective layer of a portion formed in the first region.
