A stereoscopic image is generated by applying three-dimensional processing to two or more images, which are obtained through photographing from different positions. The stereoscopic image is stereoscopically displayed, and an instruction to start changing a parallax level of the stereoscopic image is received. In response to the instruction to start changing the parallax level, stereoscopic display of the stereoscopic image is switched into two-dimensional display of the two or more images overlapped with each other. An instruction to change the parallax level is received. In response to the instruction to change the parallax level, the two or more images are two-dimensionally displayed with the parallax level of the images being changed.

Image display device and method, as well as program

Three-dimensional processing is applied to more than one images taken from different points of view to generate a stereoscopic image, and the stereoscopic image is stereoscopically displayed. An instruction to control a stereoscopic effect of the stereoscopically displayed stereoscopic image is received, and the three-dimensional processing is applied to the more than one images to achieve a stereoscopic effect according to the instruction. Then, control values of the stereoscopic effect according to the instruction are recorded in a recording unit with the control values being associated with the more than one images. At this time, if there are the control values of the stereoscopic effect recorded in the recording unit, difference values between the control values of the stereoscopic effect according to the instruction and the recorded control values of the stereoscopic effect are recorded in the recording unit.

Image display device and method as well as program

A stereoscopic imaging apparatus includes a photographing device for obtaining two images through photographing from different positions, a three-dimensional processing device for generating a stereoscopic image from the two images, a display device capable of both a two-dimensional display and a stereoscopic display, an input device for receiving an instruction to start changing a parallax level of the stereoscopic image and an instruction to change the parallax level, and a display control device for changing stereoscopic display of the stereoscopic image into two-dimensional display of the two images overlapped with each other in a response to the instruction to start changing the parallax level inputted when the stereoscopic image is stereoscopically displayed as a live view image, and two-dimensionally displaying the two images with changing the parallax level of the images in a response to the instruction to change the parallax level.

A photography device that includes an imaging component, a focusing component, a magnification alteration component, a display component, an acquisition component and a control component is provided. The focusing component focuses a subject image on an imaging surface of the imaging component. The magnification alteration component alters a magnification of the subject image focused by the focusing component. The acquisition component acquires a focusing evaluation value representing a degree of focusing of the subject image by the focusing component. The control component performs focusing control by controlling the focusing component such that the focusing evaluation value acquired by the acquisition component is at a maximum, and controls the magnification alteration component so as to lower a display magnification of the subject image by the display component if the focusing evaluation value is at or below a pre-specified threshold value.
