Diagnostic imaging system

A borderline extraction elementextracts a borderline B of adjacent vertebrae from an X-ray image on which multiple vertebrae are projected connected in a line. A vertebral area setting elementsets a area sandwiched by the adjacent borderlines B as a vertebral area and an area number is put to the respective vertebral areas L. When the vertebral areas are erroneously set up, a setup data erase elementerases the data of the vertebral areas L and the area number when the borderline is corrected. The setup data are erased, so that the borderline B can be shift-corrected to any location. A vertebral area setting elementresets the vertebral area L based on the location of the corrected borderline. Accordingly, the respective vertebral areas L are set up to the accurate locations and only the borderline B extracted to the wrong location is shift-corrected and the vertebral areas are reset. The work-burden to the operator for setting the vertebral area can be largely lessened.

Image processing device

A radiographic apparatus and method of obtaining images using a radiographic apparatus are disclosed. The radiographic apparatus and method use a filter having different regions for different radiation states. The filter is configured to be moved during different irradiating radiation steps. The radiation from the different steps is detected and may be used to generate an image.

Radiographic apparatus and method of using the same

One object of this invention is to provide a radiation tomography apparatus for acquiring a tomographic image from a plurality of fluoroscopic images. The radiation tomography apparatus can acquire the tomographic image having superior visibility without being influenced by a shadow of a collimator appearing in the fluoroscopic image when radiation is applied only to a portion of an FPD through control of the collimator. In this invention, a boundary between a shadow area where the shadow of the collimator appears in the fluoroscopic image and a non-shadow area is identified, and the shadow area in the fluoroscopic image is complemented by the non-shadow area, etc., whereby a complement image is generated. Then the complement image is used for generating the tomographic image. According to this invention, an extremely dark area where the shadow of the collimator appears is removed and thereafter the tomographic image is generated. As a result, the tomographic image has superior visibility with no blurring due to the shadow of the collimator.

Radiation tomography apparatus

One object of this invention is to provide radiography apparatus with suppressed exposure to a subject in tomography mode. An FPD provided in X-ray apparatus according to this invention converts X-rays into electric signals, and thereafter amplifies the signals to output them to an image generation section. According to this invention, an amplification factor is higher in a tomography mode than in a spot radiography mode. A tomographic image is obtained through superimposing two or more fluoroscopic image. In comparison of the fluoroscopic images, they differ from one another in appearance of the false image. Accordingly, superimposing the images may achieve cancel of the false images. In this way, the tomographic image finally obtained has no false image.

Radiographic apparatus

A body section radiographic apparatus for serially acquiring a series of fluoroscopic images while synchronously moving a radiation source and a radiation detecting device, and obtaining a sectional image of a subject from the series of fluoroscopic images. The apparatus includes, besides the radiation source which emits a beam of radiation and the radiation detecting device which is opposed to the radiation source and has a plurality of radiation detecting elements, a synchronous moving device for moving the radiation source and the radiation detecting device synchronously with each other, and a radiation grid disposed to cover a radiation detecting plane of the radiation detecting device for removing scattered radiation. The fluoroscopic images are serially acquired while moving the radiation grid relative to the radiation detecting device to change positions where radiation transmission unevenness of the radiation grid is projected on the radiation detecting device.

Body section radiographic apparatus, and a noise removing method for the body section radiographic apparatus

An X-ray tube and a flat panel X-ray detector (FPD) are constructed movable parallel to each other in the same direction along a body axis which is a longitudinal direction of a patient. The X-ray tube intermittently emits radiation and the FPD detects radiation transmitted through the patient irradiated intermittently whenever the X-ray tube and FPD move every pitch. X-ray images O, O, . . . , O, . . . , and Oare decomposed for every pitch noted above. The decomposed images are composed for each projection angle to obtain projection images P, Pand so on. Therefore, a sectional image with a long field of view in the longitudinal direction can be obtained by carrying out a reconstruction process based on the composed projection images.
