An object of the present invention is to provide an adhesive composition which can bond a film to unvulcanized rubber strongly, and is flexible and rarely undergoes cracking under low temperature conditions; and a method for bonding a film to unvulcanized rubber using the adhesive composition. In addition, an object of the present invention is to provide a laminate formed by the bonding method; and a tire produced using the laminate. The adhesive composition of the present invention contains a polymer component which has a glass transition temperature or both a glass transition temperature and a melting point of 40&#xb0; C. or lower, has a main chain having a random structure, has epoxy groups, and has sulfur-crosslinkable sites. The bonding method of the present invention is characterized by using the adhesive composition.

A pneumatic tire in which the average peel strength between the surface of (A) a layer of a single-layered or multi-layered film of a thermoplastic resin and (B) a rubbery elastic layer, which are used as the inner liner layer, is 6 kN/m or greater at &#x2212;20&#xb0; C., i.e., a pneumatic tire exhibiting excellent average peel strength between the surface of layer (A) and layer (B), which are used in combination as the inner liner layer exhibiting excellent gas barrier property and flexibility, at a low temperature and at the room temperature, is provided.

The rubber composition of the present invention is prepared by mixing 10 to 200 parts by mass of silica and 1 to 30 parts by mass of a silane compound having sulfur atom, which has a specific structure such that an organooxysilyl group is present at both ends of the molecule and sulfide or a polysulfide is present at the central portion of the molecule, with 100 parts by mass of a polymer. The rubber composition of the present invention has a small viscosity in the unvulcanized condition and provides excellent dispersion of silica. When this composition is used as a material for a tire tread, a tire exhibiting excellent abrasion resistance, a small rolling resistance and excellent braking property and steering stability on wet roads, can be obtained.

Provided is a rubber composition comprising an inorganic filler, a compound having at least one group A reacting with a rubber and two or more groups B adsorbing on the inorganic filler described above in the same molecule, a compound having the group A reacting with a rubber and an amino group in the same molecule or acrylate or methacrylate having a specific structure and further comprising, if necessary, a silane coupling agent. This makes it possible to provide a rubber composition which is excellent in the dispersibility of an inorganic filler, so that it does not elevate a viscosity of a non-vulcanized rubber and does not damage the processability and which does not bring about roughening on the surface of a rubber and is improved in a storage modulus.

A rubber composition containing, per 100 parts by weight of a vulcanizable rubber component, 0.2 to 20 parts by weight of an ester compound obtained by a reaction of alcohols with a fatty acid having a conjugated linoleic acid content of 40% by weight or more, which is markedly excellent in processability in the unvulcanized state and which has an excellent low heat-generating property without deteriorating mechanical properties after vulcanization and is excellent in adhesion between steel and vulcanized rubber.
