An exposure apparatus and method in which an image is formed on a recording medium mounted on a recording stage by irradiating a light beam based on image data from a recording head while the recording head and the recording stage are relatively moved, in the exposure apparatus and method, storing in advance, in a storage section, shift-amount data of a detected displacement of an image-form position with respect to a stage surface of the recording stage in a direction intersecting a direction in which the recording stage moves, which displacement occurs accompanied by movement of the recording stage; carrying out shifting for each of pixels of an image formed by the image data based on the shift-amount data stored in the storage section; and controlling exposure for the recording medium based on image data of the shifted image, is provided to reduce distortion of the image.

Exposure apparatus and exposure method

An image recording method of recording an image onto an image recording surface by dot patterns by scanning a recording head having recording element units arranged in a direction intersecting a scanning direction, the recording element units having a light source and an optical system which receives light from the light source, forms light beams which are arranged two-dimensionally, and focuses the light beams on the image recording surface. The method includes: measuring displacement amounts of positions of light beam spots on the image recording surface generated due to a change in optical magnification of the optical system; changing a light-emitting timing at a time of start of scanning in the scanning direction, on the basis of a displacement amount in the scanning direction; and changing a resolution in the direction intersecting the scanning direction, on the basis of a displacement amount in the direction intersecting the scanning direction.

Image recording method and image recording device for correcting optical magnification errors

An image-drawing device, which carries out image-drawing on the basis of image-drawing data, has image-drawing heads which are moved relatively in a predetermined scanning direction along an image-drawing surface. The image-drawing heads have a large number of image-drawing elements lined-up two-dimensionally within a plane which is parallel to the image-drawing surface. The straight lines along which the plural image-drawing elements are lined-up are inclined, with respect to the scanning direction, at a predetermined inclination angle such that an image-drawing magnification has an effective value after a decimal point. A data allocating unit allocates the image-drawing data to the respective image-drawing elements at predetermined timings corresponding to a resolution determined in accordance with the image-drawing magnification. In this way, resolution in the scanning direction can be increased without making a scanning speed of the image-drawing heads slower or making a modulation speed of the image-drawing elements faster.

Image-drawing device and image-drawing method

An output instruction including output conditions that differ by page is instructed by the output instruction unit, the instruction data is analyzed by a data analysis unit, instruction data including instructed output conditions that differ by page is stored, the image data is image-processed by an image processing unit in accordance with the instruction data stored in the data analysis unit, to thereby create an output image, the output conditions of the printing mechanism are switched by an output control unit in accordance with the instruction data, and the output image generated at the image processing unit is printed by a printing mechanism. It is determined whether or not there are contradictions in the instruction data of the image data, resetting is prompted with respect to contradictions, and an appearance when image recording is actually effected in accordance with the instruction data is displayed.

Image recording device, system, and method

The invention provides an image forming apparatus and an image forming method which can correct displacement of a forming position of an image with high accuracy even when a recording medium is strained into an arbitrary shape. Positional information representing positions of each of multiple locating holes made in advance on a printed wire board (PWB) is obtained by a camera, a forming area of a wiring pattern image on the PWB is virtually divided into multiple quadrilateral areas on the basis of the positional information, in each divided area, raster data showing the image is converted so that, when it is assumed that there is no strain on the PWB, a formed wiring pattern image is matched to an image formed on a corresponding divided area, and, on the basis of the raster data after conversion, the image is formed on the PWB.

Image forming apparatus and image forming method

Light modulated by a spatial light modulator is projected onto photosensitive material and the photosensitive material is exposed to light in a predetermined pattern. The action of the spatial light modulator is controlled so that the amount of the light projected onto the photosensitive material is changed in at least two stages according to the part of the photosensitive material.

The image recording method and apparatus are used to record an image formed by a group of light source elements disposed in a two-dimensional manner corresponding to recording pixels on a recording medium. In the image recording method and apparatus, an image recording position on the recording medium by the group of light source elements is moved in a direction that contains a component in at least one of two-dimensional disposing directions of the group of light source elements during the recording while modulating, in response to the movement, each recording pixel of the group of light source elements in accordance with an image to be recorded to thereby record the image on the recording medium. The image recording position is moved in accordance with a set magnification for changing the resolution par recording pixel of the group of light source elements. Further, the image recording position is moved by giving a relative speed difference between the relative movement of the group of light source elements and the recording medium and the tracking of the relative movement made by the image recording position by the group of light source elements.

Enhanced resolution image recording method and enhanced resolution image recording apparatus

An imaging head faces an imaging surface and is relatively moved along the scanning surface in a predetermined scanning direction. The imaging head includes an imaging element group and an alteration section. The imaging element group is structured by a plurality of imaging elements, which are arranged two-dimensionally in a plane substantially parallel to the imaging surface. The imaging element group generates a group of image pixels at the imaging surface in a two-dimensional arrangement which is inclined, as a whole, at a predetermined inclination angle with respect to the scanning direction. The alteration section alters a number of image pixels in a direction which is inclined from the scanning direction by the inclination angle, on the basis of a difference between the predetermined inclination angle of the imaging element group and an actual inclination angle of the image pixel group.

Imaging head, imaging device and imaging method

The image recording apparatus scans a heat mode recording material with a light beam modulated in accordance with image information, to thereby record an image on the heat mode recording material. The apparatus includes an unit for generating a modulated signal, an unit for generating an additional signal at a timing of at least one of rising and falling of the modulated signal and a unit for generating a drive signal by adding the additional signal to the modulated. The image forming method and apparatus scan a photosensitive material with the light beam to record an image, and a power of the light beam is set to a power of a level at which a recording line width or a recording dot size, which is determined depending upon a threshold value for the photosensitive material to blacken, is substantially fixed even if defocus occurs.

Image recording apparatus, image forming method, and image forming apparatus

An optical wiring substrate fabrication method capable of simple formation, by maskless exposure, of an inclined face shape at an end portion of a core layer structuring an optical waveguide. Using an exposure apparatus, image exposure is carried out with a light beam which is modulated by a spatial modulation element in accordance with image information. A predetermined area of a photosensitive material (a photoresist), which is coated on the core layer which is a material of the optical wiring substrate, is exposed by a light beam (UV) and patterned to form an etching mask. A region corresponding to the inclined face, which is to be formed at the end portion of the core layer, is exposed and patterned by the light beam, exposure amounts of which are controlled in accordance with the inclined form of the inclined face, such that an end portion of the etching mask has an inclined face structure. When the core layer is worked by etching using this etching mask, working of the core layer at the end portion of the core layer progresses in proportion to film thickness of the etching mask, and the inclined face is formed.

Optical wiring substrate fabrication process and optical wiring substrate device

The image recording method and image recording apparatus synchronize phase of a light deflector with rotation of a drum in response to the drum start point detection signal generated each time the drum rotates once, expose the two-dimensional image of one frame formed by a group of light sources disposed two-dimensionally onto the recording medium while causing the image at rest on the recording medium relatively thereto, thereafter move the optical system in the auxiliary scanning direction by an integral multiple of a pixel pitch forming one frame as well as deflect an angle of the light deflector in the main scanning direction by one frame so as to expose the next frame and on for one rotation of the drum. When the position is dislocated in the auxiliary scanning direction at the time the recording medium is to be exposed in a subsequent one rotation of the drum, the method and apparatus correct the dislocation of the position in the auxiliary scanning direction by changing an auxiliary scanning movement speed in a non-exposure time zone between the previous and subsequent rotations of the drum. Accordingly, the method and apparatus can prevent the occurrence of streaked unevenness in the surface exposure and spiral exposure.

Image recording method and image recording apparatus

In order to provide an exposure device by which aligning of an exposure pattern is realized when manufacturing a build up wiring board or the like, an exposure device which exposes a photosensitive material with a light beam modulated in accordance with image information comprising a reading section which reads a radioscopic image of a specific pattern provided on an inner layer of a laminated structure, and an aligning section which aligns an exposure position of the photosensitive material laminated on a surface of an outer layer of the laminated structure on the basis of the position information of the read radioscopic image of the specific pattern, is provided.
