A laser scanning device includes a polygon mirror, one or more lenses, and a plurality of light shielding plates. The polygon mirror reflects a light beam during rotation of the polygon mirror. The lenses allow the light beam reflected off the polygon mirror to pass through the lenses. The plurality of light shielding plates are arranged at a distance from each other and block an undesirable beam, which is part of the light beam, reflected off at least one of the lenses and heading for an optical device. The plurality of light shielding plates form an air channel that allows an air current generated by the rotation of the polygon mirror to flow through the air channel.

An optical scanning device includes a light transmitting member, a guide rail, a holding member, and a cleaning member. The light transmitting member extends in a main scanning direction and transmits a light beam. The guide rail extends in the main scanning direction and is arranged parallel to the light transmitting member. The holding member extends in a cross direction intersecting the main scanning direction and moves in the main scanning direction along the guide rail. The cleaning member is held by the holding member and cleans a light emitting surface of the light transmitting member by means of movement of the holding member in the main scanning direction.

A conveying screw configured to convey a toner in an axial direction includes a conveying shaft part and a conveying blade. The conveying shaft part is configured to be rotated around an axis. The conveying blade is spirally formed around an outer circumferential face of the conveying shaft part and configured to convey a toner in a replenishment path. At least one spiral of the conveying blade is formed by two semicircular blade plates which are coupled to in postures inclined in opposite directions to each other. A through hole through which the toner is passed in the axial direction is formed in an area surrounded by the conveying shaft part and the two blade plates.

Conveying screw, toner container and image forming apparatus

An image forming apparatus includes a drum unit, a process frame, a lock member and an intermediate transferring unit. The drum unit rotatably supports a rotating shaft of a photosensitive drum. The process frame has an attachment part to which the drum unit is attached. The lock member positions the drum unit to the attachment part. The intermediate transferring unit is attached to the process frame after the drum unit is attached. The lock member has a supporting part, an engagement part and a restriction part. Though the supporting part, an end of the rotating shaft is passed. The engagement part is engaged with the process frame between the process frame and the intermediate transferring unit. The restriction part interferes with the intermediate transferring unit between the engagement part and the intermediate transferring unit to prevent the engagement part from being detached from the process frame.

Image forming apparatus

A toner case includes a case main body, a rotator, a transmitter and a cover. The case main body stores a toner. The rotator is stored in the case main body and rotates around a rotation axis. The transmitter transmits rotation to the rotator. At least apart of the transmitter is arranged outside the case main body. The cover moves along a rotation axis direction of the rotator between a covering position where the cover covers an outer circumference of the transmitter and an exposing position where the cover exposes the transmitter.

A toner case includes a case main body, a rotator, a transmitter, a moving mechanism and a manipulation member. The rotator rotates around a rotation axis. At least a part of the rotator is stored in the case main body. The transmitter is arranged outside the case main body and transmits rotation to the rotator. The manipulation member is arranged outside the case main body. As the manipulation member moves from a first manipulating position to a second manipulating position, the moving mechanism moves the transmitter from a first position to a second position which is arranged at an outside of the first position in a rotation axis direction of the rotator. As the manipulation member moves from the second manipulating position to the first manipulating position, the moving mechanism moves the transmitter from the second position to the first position.

Toner case and image forming apparatus

A toner case includes a case main body, a rotator, a transmitter, a moving mechanism and a shutter. The case main body has a discharge port. The rotator is stored in the case main body and rotates around a rotation axis. The transmitter is arranged outside the case main body. As the shutter moves along a rotation axis direction of the rotator from a closing position where the shutter closes the discharge port to an opening position where the shutter opens the discharge port, the moving mechanism moves the transmitter from a first position to a second position which is arranged at an outside of the first position in the rotation axis direction. As the shutter moves from the opening position to the closing position, the moving mechanism moves the transmitter from the second position to the first position.

The rotator is stored in the case main body and rotates around a rotation axis. The transmitter is arranged outside the case main body and transmits rotation to the rotator. The moving mechanism moves the transmitter between a first position and a second position which is arranged at an outside of the first position in a rotation axis direction of the rotator. The moving mechanism includes a holder holding the transmitter. As the holder moves with respect to the case main body, the transmitter moves between the first position and the second position.

An optical scanning device includes a cleaning member held to a holing member and reciprocally moving on a surface of a transparent cover according to reciprocal movement of the holing member, thereby cleaning the surface. The cleaning member is configured such that a front side surface of the cleaning member in a progress direction during the reciprocal movement serves as an inclination surface obliquely crossing the progress direction when viewed from a direction vertical to the surface of the transparent cover, and at an outer side of the transparent cover in a direction perpendicular to the progress direction, a concave portion is formed to collect foreign matters moving to the outer side along the inclination surface according to the movement of the cleaning member.

Optical scanning device and image forming apparatus including the same

An image forming apparatus includes a toner case and an attachment part. The toner case includes a case main body, a rotator, a transmitter and a moving mechanism. The rotator rotates around a rotation axis. At least apart of the rotator is stored in the case main body. The transmitter is arranged outside the case main body and has a transmitting coupling. The attachment part includes a manipulation member and a driving coupling. As the manipulation member moves from a first manipulating position to a second manipulating position in a state where the toner case is attached to the attachment part, the moving mechanism moves the transmitter from a first position to a second position which is arranged at an outside of the first position in a rotation axis direction of the rotator, and the transmitting coupling is coupled to the driving coupling.

Image forming apparatus and toner case

An image forming apparatus includes an attachment part to which a toner container is detachably attached. The toner container has a main body and a non-compatible shape discriminating piece. In the main body, a toner is contained. The non-compatible shaped piece is capable of being assembled into the main body and has a shape different for each kind of the toner container. The attachment part has a non-compatible shape discriminating member capable of engaging with the non-compatible shaped piece.

An optical scanning device includes a housing having light emitting ports extending in a predetermined direction, a transparent cover that closes the light emitting ports, a screw shaft arranged so as to extend in the predetermined direction along the transparent cover, a holding member having an engaging part engaged with the screw shaft, and a cleaning member held to the holing member. An abutting fulcrum is provided at an end of a movement path of the holing member, abuts a predetermined place of a surface of a front side in a progress direction of the holing member, allows the holing member to rotate by employing an abutting part of the holding member with the abutting fulcrum as a fulcrum, and reduces a position shift amount between the one side end portion and the other side end portion of the holing member in the progress direction.

A toner container includes an elongated container main body, a toner discharge port, a first rotation member configured to convey the toner toward the toner discharge port, a support plate provided in the container main body and disposed in such a way as to face the wall surface, and an opening and closing member provided between the wall surface and the support plate and supported by the support plate in such a way as to be able to move between a closing position and an opening position. The support plate includes a first opening portion formed at a position corresponding to the toner discharge port and larger than the toner discharge port in size, and a film member attached to the support plate in such a way as to cover the first opening portion and including a second opening portion formed at a position corresponding to the toner discharge port.
