A display device includes a plate-shaped display unit; a mounting unit disposed on a back surface side of the display unit, a direction normal to a back surface of the display unit being a thickness direction of the mounting unit; an erect portion that erects towards the back surface side of the display unit along a lateral side of the mounting unit, the erect portion protruding towards a display unit side in a greater manner than the mounting unit; and a plate material that opposes the back surface of the display unit and that is interposed between the display unit and the erect portion.

Circuit board unit and electronic device

An electronic device includes a first unit and a second unit connected via a hinge member. The second unit has, at a lower end, a rod section having a cylindrical shape and extending laterally. The rod section has a notch portion formed by making a cut in the cylindrical shape at a position corresponding to a fixed section of the hinge member. The first unit includes: a first cover that includes a plate portion forming a part of a top surface of the first unit, and a rising portion having an arc shape fitted to a cylindrical contour of the rod section and covering a first space of the notch portion; and a second cover that has an arc shape fitted to the cylindrical contour of the rod section and covers a second space of the notch portion while covering the notch portion in combination with the rising portion.

In a first area, a projection section provided in a second rib is inserted into a hollow section provided in a first rib, and the first rib and the second rib are overlapped with each other such that the second rib is located inside the first rib. In a second area, the first rib and the second rib are overlapped with each other such that the first rib is located inside the second rib. Therefore, a front rib and a back rib prevent each other from moving in an overlapping direction. Accordingly, it is possible to fix the front rib and the back rib without using a rib which is another component, thereby making it possible to reduce the size and weight of an apparatus while increasing the size of a display screen.
