An analysis device includes a guide-in section, a piercing member, an airtight member, a gas introduction member, and a measurement member. The guide-in section is configured to guide a rectangular block shaped analysis kit containing a sample. The piercing member pierces a sealing film at an upper face of a liquid reservoir formed in the analysis kit. The airtight member forms an airtight space against the analysis kit at the periphery of a location pierced by the piercing member. The gas introduction member introduces gas into the airtight space. The measurement member measures a component present in the sample in the analysis kit guided into the guide-in section.

Analysis device

A method of driving a pump is used in a pressure-applying apparatus, the apparatus including a flow passage, a pump configured to impart pressure into the flow passage, an opening and closing valve configured to open and close the flow passage, a pressure detector configured to detect pressure in the flow passage, and an atmospheric air open valve configured to open an interior of the flow passage to atmospheric air. The method includes driving the pump after closing the opening and closing valve and opening the atmospheric air open valve, and evaluating a state of the pump, based on one of: the pressure detected by the pressure detector at a time at which a predetermined time period has elapsed after closing the atmospheric air open valve, and a time from closing of the atmospheric air open valve until detection of a predetermined pressure by the pressure detector.

A mixing apparatus includes: a mixing container with a discharge port for discharging mixed liquid; a filter paper covering the discharge port to temporarily retain the liquid; a receiving unit with a waste liquid collecting portion for receiving a first liquid discharged from the discharge port through the filter paper, and a measuring portion for receiving a second liquid subjected to treatment different from treatment for the first liquid; and an operation portion for enabling selection between a first receiving state in which the waste liquid collecting portion receives the first liquid and a second receiving state in which the measuring portion receives the second liquid, and also for controlling the movement of the first liquid or the second liquid.

Mixing apparatus

A method for taking a sample includes drawing blood into a vacuum blood collection tube and transferring at least part of the blood from the vacuum blood collection tube to a sample storage space of a dropper. The vacuum blood collection tube includes a sample storage portion and a stopper sealing the sample storage portion, and the drawing is performed by stabbing a hollow needle into the stopper. The dropper includes and internal space at least part of which is the sample storage space for storing a sample and which includes a volume changeable space defined, by an elastically deformable portion having flexibility. The dropper further includes an insertion portion including a through-hole connected to the internal space, and the transfer of the sample is performed by inserting the insertion portion into a through- formed in the stopper by the stabbing of the hollow needle into the stopper.

An analysis apparatus is provided with a storage tank, an injection nozzle, a syringe, a collection nozzle, a test sample tank, a microchip having two or more separation channels, detectors, a waste liquid tank, a controller, and a power supply. The collection nozzle collects a specimen which becomes a test sample from a test sample container housing the specimen, and transfers the specimen to the test sample tank. The separation channels separate characteristic components contained in the test sample. The injection nozzle is distanced from the collection nozzle and injects the test sample from the test sample tank into the separation channels. The detectors detect the separated characteristic components in the separation channels.

Analysis apparatus and analysis method

An analysis apparatus is an apparatus that performs electrophoresis using a microchip provided with a channel. The analysis apparatus includes a cooling unit (an electron cooling element and a driving circuit) that cools the microchip, a voltage application unit (electrodes and a power supply circuit) that applies voltage to a buffer solution filled in the channel of the microchip, an optical analysis unit (a light source, a light receiving element, and an analysis unit) that conducts, through the microchip, optical analysis of a sample introduced in the channel, and a control unit that controls the cooling unit, the voltage application unit, and the optical analysis unit. The control unit causes the cooling unit to start cooling the microchip, and after the microchip has been cooled, causes the voltage application unit and the optical analysis unit to operate.

An analyzing apparatus includes a microchip, a detecting unit and an analyzing-measuring unit. The microchip is formed of a light transmissive material formed with a separation fluid channel that is a light measuring part. The detecting unit includes an emitted-light guiding unit that emits light to the separation fluid channel, and a received-light guiding unit that receives light through the separation fluid channel. The emitted-light guiding unit or the received-light guiding unit placed at a position facing a microchip support table via the microchip abuts the microchip, and pushes the microchip in a direction toward the microchip support table. The analyzing-measuring unit includes the detecting unit, the emitted-light guiding unit and the received-light guiding unit, and detects a constituent of a sample filled in the separation fluid channel.

Analyzing apparatus

An analysis apparatus enables a plurality of analysis processes to be accurately and efficiently performed. The analysis apparatus includes a detention tank in which a specimen is stored, and a voltage applier. The voltage applier includes a power source and a contact tip to be brought into contact with the specimen for applying a voltage necessary for analyzing the specimen. The voltage applier renews the contact tip from a used state to an unused state after completing an analysis and before starting the subsequent analysis.

The present invention provides a lancing apparatus (A) which includes a lancet () which is movable to advance in a first direction from a deeper portion in a housing () toward a front end of a cylindrical member () and an analysis component () disposed in the cylindrical member (). The analysis component () is movable in a second direction opposite to the first direction upon receiving a force in the second direction. Lancing apparatus

An analyzer in which optical measurement is performed with respect to a sample placed in optically transparent cells of an analysis tool includes a light source unit, a light-receiving unit, a tray on which the tool is placed, and a drive mechanism for driving the tray. The tray includes a holding section that holds the tool in a predetermined position. The drive mechanism reciprocates the tray between a first position where the tool placed on the tray is exposed to the outside of the analyzer and a second position where the tool is accommodated inside the analyzer. The light source unit is disposed so that emitted light is incident on a cell of the tool when the tray is located in the second position. The light-receiving unit is disposed so as to receive light transmitted through the cell when the tray is located in the second position.

Analyzer

A lancing member () is integrally provided with a cap () for covering a needle (). Upon or after being attached to a holder () of a lancing device (A), the lancing member () is rotated relative to a cap () by a rotator (C). As a result, the boundary () between the cap () and the lancing member () is broken easily to expose the needle ().
