An upper vehicle-body structure for a vehicle, the upper vehicle-body structure including a cover that fits in an opening in a roof panel of the vehicle; a sunroof device that moves the cover between one position in the opening and another position out of the opening; and a vehicle-body framework which surrounds an outer edge portion of the opening and in which corner portions are formed in a planar view. The sunroof has a unit framework in which corner portions are formed, and close portions of the unit framework to unit corner portions are coupled with close portions of the vehicle-body framework to vehicle-body corner portions.

Upper vehicle-body structure for vehicle

There are provided first and second loop-shaped structure sections which are provided to extend continuously along respective lower wall parts, respective right-and-left both side wall parts, and respective upper wall parts of a vehicle body so as to have a loop shape in a vehicle elevational view, respectively. The first and second loop-shaped structure sections are respectively positioned on an forward side and on a rearward side, in a vehicle longitudinal direction, of a damper support section. Each of these sections is formed by a closed-cross section portion where a closed-cross section is partitioned by plural members and/or a thick plate portion having a thicker plate thickness than a vehicle-body panel.

Rear vehicle-body structure of vehicle

A first loop-shaped structure section is provided on a forward side of and closely to a damper support section so as to have a loop shape in a vehicle elevational view. A second loop-shaped structure section is provided around a rear-gate opening portion so as to have a loop shape in the vehicle elevational view. A third loop-shaped structure section is provided to extend continuously along a lower side wall part interconnecting lower wall parts of the first and second loop-shaped structure sections, a side wall part of the first loop-shaped structure section, an upper side wall part interconnecting upper end portions of upper wall parts of the first and second loop-shaped structure sections, and a side wall part of the second loop-shaped structure section so as to have a loop shape in a vehicle side view.

A vehicle body upper structure includes a pair of first structures that constitute portions on both sides in a width direction of a vehicle body in an upper portion of the vehicle body; and a second structure that extends in the width direction and is joined at opposing ends to the first structures so as to define at least a part of a window opening, to which a windshield is attachable in cooperation with the first structures. The second structure includes a low-rigid portion that is joined to one of the pair of first structures in a first area of the one of the pair of first structures, and a high-rigid portion that is separated in distance in the width direction from the first area and that has higher rigidity than the low-rigid portion. The low-rigid portion being joined to one of the first structures via the damping material.

Vehicle body upper structure

A vehicle side body structure can secure a vibration-damping property of a body regardless of design specification by including a rear wheel house including a wheel house outer and a wheel house inner; a side sill extending forward from a front end of the wheel house outer; and an outer reinforcement extending in a vertical direction along a door opening edge from an intermediate portion in a front-rear direction of the wheel house outer. The wheel house outer includes: an outer overhang overhanging outward; and an outer flange extending upward from an inner end of the outer overhang. A reinforcing member is provided to cooperate with the outer overhang and the outer flange so as to define a closed cross section in a substantially triangular shape. The reinforcing member couples a rear end of the side sill and a lower end of the outer reinforcement.

Vehicle side body structure

An upper body structure includes a pair of left and right roof side rails coupled to respective ends of a roof panel in a vehicle width direction and extending in a vehicle front-rear direction and a roof reinforcementconfigured to couple intermediate portions in the vehicle width direction of the pair of roof side rails. A vehicle-width-direction inner side end of each roof side rail has a concave-convex shape in a side view along the vehicle front-rear direction, a vehicle-width-direction outer side end of the roof reinforcement has a concave-convex shape in the side view, and the concave-convex shaped end of each roof side rail and the concave-convex shaped end of the roof reinforcementintersect each other in the side view.

Upper body structure of vehicle

The present disclosure relates to a vehicle rear body structure in which a meeting section is constructed at an upper corner of a rear gate opening that is opened rearward in a body rear portion, and in the meeting section, a roof side rail that extends in a vehicle longitudinal direction in a body side portion and a rear header that extends in a vehicle width direction in the body rear portion meet. The vehicle rear body structure that improves rigidity of the body rear portion while suppressing relative displacement between the rear header and the roof side rail.

Vehicle rear body structure

To provide a vehicle side body structure capable of securing vibration suppression performance while suppressing an increase in body weight by a connecting member that connects an outer reinforcement and an inner reinforcement. The present invention includes: a rear wheel house configured to include a wheel house outer and a wheel house inner; an outer reinforcement cooperating with the wheel house outer to define a first closed cross section that extends in a vertical direction and is provided along a part of a rear door opening edge; and an inner reinforcement cooperating with the wheel house inner to define a second closed cross section that extends in the vertical direction. A connecting member is provided to fix a striker to the outer reinforcement and connect a front flange of the outer reinforcement and each of a front wall and a front flange of the inner reinforcement.

In an upper vehicle-body structure including: a roof side rail disposed at an upper and vehicle-width-direction outer side portion of the vehicle and including a closed cross-section extending in a vehicle front-rear direction; a pillar extending downward from an intermediate portion in the vehicle front-rear direction of the roof side rail; and a roof rail reinforcement disposed inside the intermediate portion in the vehicle front-rear direction of the roof side rail and extending in the front-rear direction, the roof rail reinforcement including front and rear ends bent toward a vehicle-width-direction outer side, the roof rail reinforcement being configured to partition a space inside the intermediate portion of the roof side rail in the vehicle front-rear direction and a vehicle width direction, the roof side rail includes a roof rail outer and a roof rail inner defining, jointly with the roof rail outer, a closed cross-section, the pillar includes a pillar outer and a pillar inner defining, jointly with the pillar outer, a closed cross-section extending in an up-down direction, and the roof rail reinforcement is at least fixed to the roof rail outer, the roof rail inner, and the pillar inner.

Upper vehicle-body structure

The vehicle body structure including an inner rein coupled to a first portion of a vibration source in a vehicle and a component constituting a vehicle body; an outer rein coupled to the component and a second portion different from the first portion of the vibration source; and a damping structure arranged between the inner rein and the outer rein and configured to dampen vibrations transmitted along the inner rein and the outer rein, wherein the inner rein includes a portion that interrupts transmission of the vibration transmitted along the inner rein, and is connected to the second reinforcing member via the damping structure.

A side vehicle-body structure of a vehicle comprises a rear frame, a roof side rail, a rear wheelhouse, a C pillar, and a suspension housing reinforcement which interconnects the C pillar and the rear wheelhouse in a vertical direction, wherein the suspension housing reinforcement comprises a front suspension housing reinforcement which extends downward from a lower end portion of the C pillar along an extension direction of the C pillar and connects to an upper portion of the rear wheelhouse and a rear suspension housing reinforcement which is positioned in back of the front suspension housing reinforcement, extends rearward and downward from a rear portion of the C pillar and/or a rear portion of the front suspension housing reinforcement, and connects to the upper portion of the rear wheelhouse.

In a structure which comprises a hinge pillar at a side face portion of a vehicle, a front pillar connected to the hinge pillar, an apron member extending forward from a joint portion of the hinge pillar to the front pillar, and a hinge pillar reinforcement provided at the joint portion of the hinge pillar to the front pillar, a reinforcing member which connects a side face portion and an upper face portion of the hinge pillar reinforcement is provided, and a bead portion which interconnects the upper face portion and the side face portion of the hinge pillar reinforcement in a brace shape is provided and the reinforcing member.

There are provided a hinge pillar comprising an outer panel and an inner panel which form a closed cross section extending vertically, a hinge pillar reinforcement provided in the closed cross section, a front door attached to the hinge pillar via a pair of upper-and-lower door hinges, and a hinge bracket attaching the lower door hinge to the hinge pillar reinforcement, the hinge bracket being provided to face a front wheel in a longitudinal direction. Herein, the hinge bracket has a lower strength than a portion of the hinge pillar reinforcement where the hinge bracket is provided. Accordingly, when receiving a collision load from the front wheel, the hinge bracket changes a contact portion of the front wheel to the hinge pillar so as to guide the retreating front wheel outward in a vehicle width direction.

A pair of right-and-left center pillars, a pair of right-and-left roof side rails, and an inflator provided on the inside, in a vehicle width direction, of the roof side rails and capable of supplying a gas pressure to an airbag are provided. A roof reinforcing member which extends in the vehicle width direction over respective upper end portions of the center pillars or respective nearby portions to upper ends of the center pillars is provided, which includes a front concave portion and a rear concave portion which are concaved downward respectively. The inflator is arranged such that at least a portion of the inflator overlaps with the roof reinforcing member, and a depth of the rear concave portion overlapping with the inflator is shallower than that of the front concave portion positioned nearer the center pillars.
