The present invention is to provide a recording apparatus capable of cleaning the surface of a medium such as a card at each time before and after image transfer, in a transport path to which is fed a card ejected from a media supply C, and a cleaning section that performs cleaning by nipping the card with a pair of contact rollers to pass through. In the transport path, when the card is transported to the transfer section by driving roller pairs and contact rollers, the card prior to transfer is cleaned. After transfer processing in the transfer section, the card is transported in the opposite direction to pass through the cleaning section again, and is transported to the discharge section D, and the card subsequent to transfer is thereby cleaned.

Recording apparatus

To prevent reduction in printing quality, a printer includes an image formation section having a thermal head with a plurality of heating elements and transporting an ink ribbon and a transfer film at the same velocity to form an image on the transfer film, and a control section controlling the image formation section. The control section controls the image formation section to form a printing image on the transfer film according to input printing information and form a dummy image wider than the printing image on the width-direction opposite sides at the back thereof in the transport direction. On the ink ribbon, a wrinkle, which occurs in the rear end corner portion in the transport direction of a printing region corresponding to the printing image, is stopped by a sag caused by that the ink is removed in a dummy printing region Rd corresponding to the dummy image.

Apparatus for forming images

To perform preheating on a recording medium before transfer with an inexpensive configuration to reduce a transfer failure due to a change in temperature of a transfer film and further reduce thermal damage to the transfer film, in a transfer apparatus for nipping a transfer film and recording medium with a transfer roller and transfer platen, preheating treatment of the recording medium is performed by heat of the transfer roller before transfer processing. When the preheating treatment is performed using the transfer roller, the transfer film exists between the transport roller and the recording medium, and by shifting the position of the transfer film during the preheating treatment, it is possible to suppress thermal damage to the transfer film without applying heat of the transfer roller to only a part of the transfer film excessively.

Transfer apparatus and transfer method

A transfer apparatus for heating a recording medium and a transfer film with a transfer member and a transfer platen transferring an image includes a transfer film transport member, a recording medium transport member, a peeling member peeling off the transfer film, a support member supporting the transfer surface of the recording medium, and a bracket. A recording medium contact point of the peeling member is set in the same position as a first tangent passing through a recording medium contact point of the transfer member and a contact of the recording medium of a transport member and a recording medium contact point of the support member is set in the same position as a second tangent passing through the recording medium contact point of the transfer member and the recording medium contact point of the peeling member or on the transfer platen side relative to the second tangent.

Transfer apparatus

A printer apparatus includes a supply unit to supply recording media, a recording unit to record information to the recording media, and a storage unit to store the recording media. A tray is formed in at least one of the supply unit and the storage unit and detachably connected to the apparatus to store a plurality of recording media in a stacked state. The apparatus includes a support surface for supporting a bottom surface of the tray, and at least one wall surface touching or opposing a side surface of the tray. An opening is defined by the bottom surface and the at least one wall surface to allow the tray to be detached from a direction within a predetermined angle of the side surface of the apparatus. A positioning device is disposed in at least one of the support surface and the wall surface for positioning the tray.

Printer apparatus

A printing device is provided with a housing, and a card stacker is disposed above the housing. The card stacker stores cards to be placed parallel in a laminate manner. The housing houses a card rotating section, linear card transport path each being disposed below the card stacker, printing section provided below the card transport path, various sensors, and control section. A card storage section is disposed on the most downstream side of the card transport path. The card storage section stores processed cards to overlap in a laminate manner. The card stacker enables the supply number of cards to be increased, and it is possible to increase the height of the card storage section by the card transport path positioning in the upper portion inside the housing.

A card printing apparatus for sequentially printing a plurality of colors on a card has a card supply unit for supplying a card; a card conveyance path provided linearly from the card supply unit for conveying the card; a conveyance device provided on the card conveyance path for conveying the card; a printing unit provided on the card conveyance path; a card cleaning member disposed between the card supplying unit and the printing unit provided within the returning range of the card while printing the card conveyed in reverse; and a card cleaning member moving device for moving the card cleaning member to a retreated position separated from the card cleaning member and the card conveyance path, and an operating position. The card cleaning member is moved to the retreated position when the card is conveyed in reverse while printing.

Card printing apparatus

A card cleaning mechanism has a cleaning roller that cleans a surface of a card by contacting the conveyed card, and a roller-shaped cleaner that cleans a surface of the cleaning roller by contacting the cleaning roller. The cleaning roller is configured to move between a retreated position separated from a card conveyance path, and an operating position contacting a surface of the card being conveyed and the roller-shaped cleaner by advancing into the card conveyance path. Accordingly, the card cleaning mechanism can securely remove dust and dirt adhering to the card printing surface and does not reduce card printing quality.

Card cleaning mechanism, card cleaning method and card printing apparatus

A printing apparatus has a casing, a card supply opening at one side of the casing, a printing unit that performs a predetermined recording to a card supplied from the card supply opening, nip rollers that nip the card when being recorded at the printing unit, a magnetic encoder unit disposed adjacent to the printing unit that performs a predetermined recording to the card nipped by the rollers, and a card discharge outlet that discharges the card recorded at the printing and/or magnetic encoder units. The card supply opening, the printing unit and the magnetic encoder unit are disposed sequentially and substantially horizontally along the card conveyance path, and the card discharge outlet is provided in a side of the casing so that the card supply opening and card discharge output are positioned substantially vertically.

Card recording apparatus

A sheet conveyance release mechanism has a movable guide unit and a fixed guide unit adjacent to the movable guide unit. The mechanism has a horizontal conveyance guide unit for conveying a sheet in a substantially horizontal direction, and a vertical conveyance guide unit for conveying a sheet in a substantially vertical direction. A jam release lever moves the movable guide unit from a first position adjacent to the fixed guide unit in the horizontal direction to a second position below the fixed guide unit, and moves the vertical conveyance guide unit so as to separate from a guide surface.
