The secondary battery current collector disclosed herein includes a resin layer, a first metal layer covering one main surface of the resin layer, and a second metal layer covering the other main surface of the resin layer. Each of the first metal layer and the second metal layer extend beyond an external side of the main surface of the resin layer. The secondary battery current collector has a resin-laminated part, in which the first metal layer, the resin layer, and the second metal layer are laminated; and a metal-laminated part, in which the first metal layer and the second metal layer are overlaid, on an external side of the resin-laminated part. A thickness of the metal-laminated part is greater than a total thickness of the first metal layer and the second metal layer in the thickest portion of the resin-laminated part.

Secondary battery current collector and manufacturing method for same, and secondary battery

Provided is a positive electrode material which can impart a secondary battery with excellent low temperature output characteristics, excellent high temperature cycle characteristics and excellent durability against high voltage. A positive electrode material of a secondary battery disclosed here includes a positive electrode active substance particle and a coating containing a titanium-containing compound at the surface of the positive electrode active substance particle. A layer having a higher Ti concentration than the Ti concentration at a depth of 500 nm from the surface is formed in a surface portion of the positive electrode active substance particle. The titanium-containing compound in the coating is at least one compound selected from the group consisting of TiO, TiO, wherein n is an integer of 3 or more, and oxides containing Li and Ti.

Positive electrode material of secondary battery, and secondary battery using same

The present disclosure provides a current collector of a secondary battery in which the current inside the battery is easily blocked at the time of inside short circuit, and in which the capacity retention rate and the decreasing rate of the electric resistance are outstanding. The current collector herein disclosed includes a laminate structure in which a resin layer and a metal layers formed on the both surfaces of the resin layer are laminated. The surface of the metal layer includes a rough surface part provided with a plurality of protruding parts and a plurality of recessed parts. On the rough surface part, a resin coat layer is formed, and at least one part of the protruding part among the plurality of protruding parts includes an exposed part that is exposed from the resin coat layer.

A method of producing a wet mixture includes a stirring and mixing process in which lithium-containing positive electrode active material particles having surplus lithium compounds on the surface and crystalline ferroelectric ceramic particles are dried, stirred and mixed to obtain a mixed powder; and a solution mixing process in which a lithium conductor forming solution is mixed with the mixed powder to obtain a wet mixture containing coated lithium-containing positive electrode active material particles having a coating which is made of an amorphous lithium conductor and in which the ferroelectric ceramic particles are dispersed on the surface of the lithium-containing positive electrode active material particles.

A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery disclosed herein includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a non-aqueous electrolyte. The positive and negative electrodes each include a current collector and a mixture layer formed on the surface of the current collector. The current collector includes a resin layer and metallic foils provided on both surfaces of the resin layer in at least one of the positive and negative electrodes. A surface of the metallic foils on which the mixture layer is formed is roughened. Furthermore, the average X (μm) of the thicknesses at the thinnest parts and the average Y (μm) of the thicknesses at the thickest parts of the metallic foil determined based on a plurality of obtained sectional SEM images in a stacked direction of the resin layer and the metallic foils satisfy the following relationship: 0.1 μm<X<4 μm, and 1.2≤Y/X.

Non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery

A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery disclosed herein includes a positive electrode containing a positive electrode active material, a negative electrode, and a non-aqueous electrolyte, and the positive electrode active material includes a positive electrode active material particle containing a lithium transition metal compound, and a coating portion coating at least a part of a surface of the positive electrode active material particle. The coating portion contains a lithium ionic conductor containing lithium, a phosphoric acid group, and at least one element of lanthanum (La) and cerium (Ce).

A positive electrode material of a lithium secondary battery disclosed here includes a positive electrode active substance particle, a Li-free first coating at the surface of the positive electrode active substance particle, and a Li-containing second coating at the surface of the positive electrode active substance particle. The first coating contains a titanium oxide represented by TiOor TiO, wherein n is an integer of 3 or more. The second coating contains a composite oxide containing Li and Ti, wherein the ratio of the number of atoms of Li relative to the number of atoms of Ti is at least 0.1 and at most 3.

Positive electrode material of lithium secondary battery, and lithium secondary battery using same

A positive electrode material which is used in a positive electrode of a lithium ion secondary battery disclosed here includes a positive electrode active material including a compound capable of storing and releasing lithium ions, a first coating material disposed on at least a part of the surface of the positive electrode active material, and a second coating material disposed on at least a part of the surface of the positive electrode active material. The positive electrode material is characterized in that the first coating material contains a nickel oxide having a rock salt structure, and the second coating material contains a titanium oxide.

Positive electrode material for lithium ion secondary battery

A positive electrode imparts secondary battery with low temperature output characteristics, high temperature cycle characteristics and durability against high voltage. A positive electrode of secondary battery includes positive electrode current collector and positive electrode active substance layer on positive electrode current collector. The positive electrode active substance layer contains positive electrode active substance particles and oxide particles which are dispersed in positive electrode active substance layer as separate particles from positive electrode active substance particles. The positive electrode active substance particles each include coating of titanium-containing compound at the surface. A method of manufacturing a positive electrode material for lithium ion secondary battery includes the following (&#x3b1;) and (&#x3b2;): (&#x3b1;) a positive electrode active material is prepared; and (&#x3b2;) the positive electrode material for lithium ion secondary battery is manufactured by forming a coat on at least a portion of a surface of the positive electrode active material. The coat is formed to satisfy the following (1) to (3): (1) the coat includes a lithium ion conductor and a ferroelectric substance; (2) the ferroelectric substance is dispersed in the lithium ion conductor; and (3) the lithium ion conductor is interposed at least partially between the positive electrode active material and the ferroelectric substance.
