A spacecraft for changing an orbit or an attitude of a target in outer space by irradiating the target with a laser, the spacecraft includes: a laser apparatus configured to generate the laser; a focusing unit configured to converge the laser; a detecting unit configured to acquire detection information including a distance between the spacecraft and the target; and an irradiation control unit configured to control the focusing unit on the basis of the distance so that the laser converges on the target.

A laminate-type power storage element includes a flat plate-shaped electrode body and an exterior body. The electrode body is configured by stacking a sheet-shaped positive electrode and a sheet-shaped negative electrode on either side of a separator. The exterior body is formed in a flattened bag-shape by thermocompression bonding peripheral edge regions of two opposing laminated films, to seal the electrode body inside the flattened bag-shape of the exterior body together with an electrolyte. The separator has a sheet-shaped substrate and at least one bonding layer formed on at least one surface of the substrate. A peripheral edge portion of the separator is sandwiched between and bonded by the two laminated films at a peripheral inside of the peripheral edge regions of the two laminated films.

A method for preparing cathode material for a lithium primary battery includes an active cathode material and an active anode material. The active cathode material is manganese dioxide, and the active anode material is either one of lithium metal and lithium alloy. The method includes: a first kneading step in which a boron compound and a thickening agent are kneaded with a diluent to prepare a paste made by dissolving the boron compound in the diluent; a second kneading step in which the paste is kneaded with a conductive additive; and a third kneading step in which the paste obtained in the second kneading step is kneaded with the active cathode material and a binder to prepare the cathode material in slurry form.

A conductive auxiliary agent for an electrode slurry for a battery. The electrode slurry contains an electrode active material and a conductive auxiliary agent, and is applied to a sheet-shaped current collector. The conductive auxiliary agent is a carbon paste produced by dispersing a carbon powder in a solvent. The carbon paste has a viscosity of at least 20 Pa&#xb7;s and not more than 40 Pa&#xb7;s. The carbon material can be acetylene black.

A laminate-type power storage element has a flat body and an interior layered flat plate-shaped electrode body. A positive electrode terminal plate is mounted to a positive electrode of the electrode body and is guided outside from a predetermined margin of the body. A negative electrode terminal plate is mounted to a negative electrode of the electrode body and guided in the same direction. A film member spans across both electrode terminal plates. The film member is made by layering an insulating heat-resistant film and an adhesive to thermocompression bond the heat-resistant film to a matter to be adhered to. The film member is thermocompression bonded to the electrode terminal plate at a region facing principal surfaces of the positive and the negative plates, and is thermocompression bondable to the matter to be adhered to in a region that does not face the respective principal surfaces.

A laminate-type power storage element is configured of an exterior body that is formed in a flat bag shape by welding a first laminated film and a second laminated film by thermocompression bonding, and an electrode body that is sealed inside the exterior body, the electrode body having a sheet-shaped positive electrode and a sheet-shaped negative electrode. The first laminated film and the second laminated film respectively includes a first resin layer that has a property of transmitting a laser beam, a metal foil that is layered to the first resin layer, and a second resin layer is layered to the metal foil and has a thermal weldability.

Semiconductor switching element driver circuit with operation based on temperature

A driving circuit outputs an output voltage as a driving signal to the gate of a semiconductor element based on a control signal given from an input circuit. The output voltage is at 'H' (ON level) if it is determined by a power supply voltage VCC, and is at 'L' (OFF level) if it is determined by a ground voltage GND. A reference power supply section includes a series connection of resistors. The reference power supply section obtains a voltage determined by dividing a potential difference between the power supply voltage VCC and the ground voltage GND by a predetermined dividing ratio (resistance ratio between the resistors) as a reference voltage. A buffer circuit applies an output voltage as a reference signal determined by the reference voltage to the source of the semiconductor element.
