A roller unit aligns tapes in a width direction and feeds the aligned tapes. The tapes are made of fibers which have not been impregnated with resin or have been impregnated with the resin. The roller unit includes rollers and a support shaft. The rollers rotate by friction force between the tapes and the rollers when the rollers contact with the tapes. The rollers are aligned so that rotation axes of the rollers lie on a same straight line. Diameters of the rollers are same as each other. The support shaft supports the rollers rotatably at rotational speeds independent from each other.

A method of manufacturing a composite includes bringing a first surface of a first base in which a first fiber base that is to constitute the first base is impregnated with a first resin into contact with a second surface of a second base in which a second fiber base that is to constitute the second base is not impregnated with a second resin, and impregnating the second fiber base with a portion of the first resin with which the first fiber base is impregnated.

A manufacturing assistance apparatus includes a learning unit and an estimator. The learning unit is configured to load a plurality of pieces of actual measurement data in each of which a gap and a plurality of parameters are associated with each other, and construct an estimation model on the basis of machine learning in which the plurality of pieces of actual measurement data serve as teacher data. The gap is provided between a first workpiece and a second workpiece that eventually structure an airframe of an aircraft and that are eventually fastened to each other. The estimation model estimates the gap from the plurality of parameters. The estimator is configured to derive an estimation value of a length of the gap on which measurement has not yet been performed, on the basis of the estimation model constructed by the learning unit and the plurality of parameters.

Manufacturing assistance apparatus

A roadable vehicle includes main wings, a fuselage, a sliding door on a lateral side surface of the fuselage, and hinge mechanisms. The hinge mechanisms connect the main wings to the fuselage. The hinge mechanisms allow the main wings to turn between a first state where the main wings are folded beside the fuselage and a second state where the main wings are opened on the lateral sides of the fuselage. In the first state, the sliding door is opened and closed by sliding the sliding door in a space formed between one of the main wings and the fuselage while an outer side of the fuselage and an inner side of the sliding door facing each other.

Roadable aircraft

A tape arranging device includes guide roller units and a moving unit. Tape materials are capable of passing through the respective guide roller units. Each of the tape materials is configured with fibers impregnated with resin. The moving unit is configured to move the guide roller units and to change a distance between adjacent ones of the guide roller units. The adjacent ones of the guide roller units are adjacent to each other.

Tape arranging device

A land-and-air vehicle configured to switch between a ground traveling mode and an aerial flight mode incudes a body, a wing, a wheel, a suspension, and a lock mechanism. The wing is attached to the body. The wheel is provided on a lower side of the body. The suspension is configured to support the body via the wheel on ground, and to contract due to self-weight of the land-and-air vehicle. The lock mechanism is configured to limit expansion of the suspension from a state in which the suspension has contracted due to the self-weight.

According to one implementation, a preform shaping apparatus includes a rigid mold and a pressurizing jig. The rigid mold has a shape corresponding to a shape of a preform which has been shaped. The pressurizing jig presses an unshaped material of the preform to the rigid mold at different positions and different timings. Further, according to one implementation, a method of shaping a preform includes: producing the shaped preform by pressing an unshaped material of the preform to a rigid mold at different positions and different timings; and using a pressurizing jig for pressing the material. The rigid mold has a shape corresponding to a shape of the preform. The pressurizing jig is adapted to apply pressures on the material at the different positions and the different timings.

According to one implementation, a prepreg lamination apparatus includes first and second rollers, a table, and a feed structure. The first roller sends out a first prepreg tape which is a part of material of an FRP. The second roller sends out a second prepreg tape which is another part of the material of the FRP. The table is for laminating the first and second prepreg tapes directly or indirectly. The feed structure is adapted to feed out the first and second prepreg tapes in a feeding direction by moving the first and second rollers relatively to the table while performing at least one of movement of the first roller relatively to the second roller, and rotation of at least one of the first and second rollers relatively to the table around an axis which is not parallel to each of rotation axes of the first and second rollers.

Prepreg lamination apparatus, method of laminating prepregs and method of molding composite material

According to one implementation, a composite material forming jig includes molds and a tilting structure. The molds are developable for laminating fiber sheets, after or before impregnated with a resin, in a developed state where the molds are developed. At least one mold of the molds is capable of being inclined relatively to another mold of the molds so that the laminated fiber sheets are shaped. The tilting structure is adapted to develop the molds when the fiber sheets are laminated and incline the at least one mold when the laminated fiber sheets are shaped.

An electric aircraft includes a propeller, an electric motor, and a controller. The electric motor is configured to supply power to the propeller. The controller is configured to control the electric motor. The controller is disposed inside a leading-edge portion of a wing to cause heat to be transmitted to a skin of the wing. The heat is generated by the controller when the controller controls the electric motor.

A land-and-air vehicle configured to switch between a first form to be taken during ground traveling and a second form to be taken during flight includes a main body, a main wing unit, an operation unit, and a controller. The controller is configured to control, on the basis of an operation performed on the operation unit by an operator, a behavior of the land-and-air vehicle during the ground traveling and during the flight. The operation unit includes a handle and a step. The handle of the operation unit includes a throttle unit. The controller is configured to control, both during the ground traveling and during the flight, yawing of the land-and-air vehicle in response to an operation performed on the handle, and to control thrust for the land-and-air vehicle during the flight in response to an operation performed on the throttle unit.

A redundant propulsion device includes a propeller and electric motors. The electric motors are configured to drive the propeller. The electric motors are disposed with respect to a propeller shaft of the propeller so that, around the propeller shaft, at least one of the electric motors is disposed at each of the locations in the longitudinal direction of the propeller shaft. The electric motors are disposed at positions such that an output shaft of each of the electric motors does not overlap an output shaft of any other one of the electric motors as viewed in the longitudinal direction of the propeller shaft from the propeller.

The sheet-shaped fiber is impregnated with a resin or is before the impregnation with the resin. The rotation axis is parallel to a thickness direction of the sheet-shaped fiber. The force contains a component that is in a direction perpendicular to the thickness direction and to the feed direction.
