A stent delivery system for delivering a stent, the stent delivery system having a push catheter, a guide member, and an elongated stent securing material having a first portion arranged to a push catheter outer surface, a second portion, a third portion, and a fourth portion arranged to the push catheter outer surface, in that order. The first portion and the fourth portion are arranged to the push catheter outer surface such that only one of the first portion and the fourth portion is present on a cross-section plane orthogonal to the longitudinal axis. The stent delivery system is configured to have a secured configuration in which the guide member is arranged within a push catheter lumen and a stent lumen and through a loop formed by a section between the second portion and the third portion to secure the stent.

Stent delivery system

This stent delivery system includes: a guide catheter inserted into the inside of a cylindrical stent, and inserted into the interior of the living body with the stent; a pusher catheter inserted into the interior of the living body with the guide catheter in a state where the guide catheter is inserted into the inside of the push catheter, and which is for pushing the stent along the guide catheter; a stent connecting member for connecting the stent with the pusher catheter; and a stent releasing member for releasing the stent from the pusher catheter by separating the connection between the stent and the pusher catheter depending on the stent connecting member, which is independently operable separately from the guide catheter, and which is inserted into the inside of the pusher catheter.

A stent delivery system includes a tubular stent which is retained in a body cavity of a living body; a pusher tube, whose distal end contacts with a proximal end of the stent, which pushes and moves the stent to a distal end side; a filament which connects the stent with the pusher tube by the proximal end side of the filament being engaged with the pusher tube and by the distal end side of the filament stretching to the stent side so as to penetrate the peripheral wall of the stent; an engaging member which is engaged with a distal end portion of the filament penetrating the peripheral wall of the stent, and which keeps the connecting condition between the stent and the pusher tube by the filament; and a pulling member which pulls a distal end side of the filament into a proximal end side of the pusher tube when the engagement between the engaging member and the filament is released and the connection between the stent and the pusher tube is released.
