The power system includes a fuel cell stack, a system accessory, a battery, and a control device. The control device executes, based on a state of a vehicle and the battery, one of the following processes: a normal power generation process during which the control device makes a net output greater than 0; a first idling stop process during which the control device makes the net output equal to or less than 0 while continuing operation of the system accessory and power generation by the stack; a second idling stop process during which the control device makes the net output less than 0 by stopping the power generation while continuing the operation of the system accessory; and a third idling atop process during which the control device makes the net output equal to 0, by stopping both the operation of the system accessory and the power generation.

A fuel cell mount apparatus includes a plurality of fuel cell stacks, a pipe arrangement, a fluid adjustment part, a pressure detection part, and a control device. The pipe arrangement is individually connected to each of the fuel cell stacks. The fluid adjustment part adjusts a pressure or a flow rate of a fluid which flows through the pipe arrangement. The pressure detection part is disposed on a portion which requires a desired pressure or flow rate of the fluid in the pipe arrangement and detects the pressure of the fluid. The control device controls the fluid adjustment part on the basis of a detection result of the pressure detection part.

Fuel cell mount apparatus

There are provided: a power supply provided with a fuel cell; a fuel cell vehicle; an inverter device capable of supplying electric power that is supplied from the fuel cell to an external load; a radiator; a radiator fan; a dryness detection device that detects a dry condition of the fuel cell; and an ECU that control supply of electric power to the external load. The ECU drives the radiator fan when the dryness detection device detects dryness of the fuel cell while electric power is being supplied from the fuel cell to the external load.

Electric power supply system

An ECU selects a power supply mode which controls a power supply to an inverter apparatus, in a case where a fuel cell vehicle is instructed to start-up by an ignition switch and it is detected that a power supply inlet and a power supply connector are fitted together based on voltage of CONNECT signal, and selects a driving mode which controls the driving of the fuel cell vehicle, in a case where the fuel cell vehicle is instructed to start-up by the ignition switch and it is detected that the power supply inlet and the power supply connector are not fitted together based on voltage of CONNECT signal.

Control apparatus for electric vehicle

An ECU of a control apparatus further alleviates a fluctuation in a power generation amount of a fuel cell stack with respect to the power required by an inverter apparatus, when a power supply circuit configured by each of contactors and a power supply inletsupplies the power to the inverter apparatus compared with when a vehicle is driving. The ECU, when the power supply circuit supplies power to the inverter apparatus, stops the power generation of the fuel cell stack in a case where a remaining capacity in a battery is greater than or equal to a predetermined remaining capacity, and inhibits the fuel cell stack from stopping the power generation in a case where the power supplied to the inverter apparatus by the power supply circuit is greater than or equal to a predetermined power supply amount.

Outward power supply control apparatus for fuel cell vehicle

A FC vehicle includes a long distance hill climbing detector for detecting long distance hill climbing and a controller for, in the case where the long distance hill climbing detector detects the long distance hill climbing, controlling the allocation amount of electric power outputted from an FC such that the allocation amount is larger than the allocation amount before the detection of the long distance hill climbing.

Fuel cell vehicle

A fuel cell vehicle is provided. The voltage of a fuel cell is fixed, by a DC/DC converter, to a voltage outside an oxidation reduction progress voltage range of the fuel cell. In this state, oxygen concentration or hydrogen concentration is decreased by a gas supply unit, and electric power outputted from the fuel cell is decreased. In this state, regenerative electric power generated by regeneration is collected into a battery.

A controllable range of an air flow rate and an air pressure in a fuel cell system is calculated from air flow rates and air pressures when the air back pressure valve is fully open and fully closed. A target generation current is calculated from an accelerator position or an auxiliary unit to calculate a target air flow rate and a target air pressure as target values. If the target values are outside the controllable range, it is judged whether the target values exceed an upper limit the controllable range, the target values are decreased onto the upper limit, and if no, the target values are increased onto the lower limit of the controllable range.

Fuel cell system and method of controlling gas pressure in fuel cell system

A fuel cell system includes a fuel cell having a fuel gas flow path and an oxidant gas flow path; a compressor for supplying humidified air to the oxidant gas flow path; a back-pressure regulating valve for controlling pressure of humidified air in the oxidant gas flow path; a pressure sensor for measuring the pressure of the humidified air in the oxidant gas flow path; and a control section for controlling the compressor and the back-pressure regulating valve. In this system, the pressure of humidified air in the oxidant gas flow path is regulated to become equal or approximate to a target pressure by the back-pressure regulating valve. When the pressure difference between the pressure measured by the pressure sensor and the target pressure is larger than a predetermined pressure difference, the control section corrects operating conditions of the compressor, so that the measured pressure becomes the target pressure.

Fuel cell system

A fuel cell system and an idle stop controlling method for the fuel cell system. The fuel cell system includes: a fuel gas supply means for supplying fuel gas; an oxidant gas supply means for supplying oxidant gas; a fuel cell to which the fuel gas and the oxidant gas are supplied for generation of electricity; an idle stop means for stopping generation of electricity by the fuel cell to perform idle stop; and an unstable state detection means for detecting whether the generation of electricity by the fuel cell is unstable. If the unstable state detection means detects that generation of electricity by the fuel cell is unstable, idle stop by the idle stop means is prohibited so that the fuel cell continues to generate electricity.

Fuel cell system and method of controlling idle stop of the fuel cell system

A current limiting system for fuel cells includes a target current limit value setting device which sets a target current limit value for limiting the generated current taken out from the fuel cell stack in accordance with the cell voltage, and a current limit value setting device which sets a current limit value by replacing a present current limit value with the target current limit value when a difference between the present current limit value and the generated current value becomes smaller than a first predetermined value. The system also includes an output device which outputs the current limit value either to a current limiter for limiting the generated current in accordance with the current limit value or to an electric power consumption controller for controlling electric power consumption of loads that consume the generated current.

Current limiting system and current limiting method for fuel cells

A method for controlling the flow rate of an oxidizer in a fuel cell system having a fuel cell stack being supplied with fuel and the oxidizer, a compressor for supplying the oxidizer to the fuel cell stack, a back pressure valve for controlling pressure of the oxidizer, and a control device for controlling the fuel cell stack, the compressor, and the back pressure valve. The method includes the steps of calculating an oxidizer pressure command and an oxidizer flow rate command based on a given electrical current command, comparing a first flow rate that is defined as an upper limit of oxidizer flow rate and a second flow rate that is defined as a lower limit of oxidizer flow rate with the oxidizer flow rate command, and regulating the oxidizer flow rate command so as to be limited within a range from the second flow rate to the first flow rate.
