Provided is a high-decorativeness illumination device that utilizes lenticular lens sheets. An illumination device includes first to third lenticular lens sheets, an LED light source, and a casing. The first and second lenticular lens sheets are laminated such that an angle formed by plano-convex cylindrical lenses falls within a first angle range which is greater than 0 degrees and is less than 30 degrees. Accordingly, moire fringes appear in illumination light rays. The third lenticular lens sheet is laminated on the first and second lenticular lens sheets such that angles formed by plano-convex cylindrical lenses fall within a second angle range which is equal to or greater than 30 degrees and is equal to or less than 90 degrees.

Illumination device

Provided is a high decorative illumination device that utilizes a lenticular lens sheet. An illumination device includes a lenticular lens sheet and an LED light source. The lenticular lens sheet is curved in an X direction, and a convex surface is formed in a concave shape. The LED light source is positioned inside the convex surface of the lenticular lens sheet. First and second reflection components from first and second bright points which are acquired by reflecting irradiation light rays from the LED light source from plano-convex cylindrical lenses are incident on left and right eyes of an observer who observes the illumination device. The observer observes a virtual image as if a light emitter is present in a position in which the first and second reflection components cross each other.

A decorative cover includes a lenticular lens sheet, an outer frame, a connection point, and a plurality of LED chips. The outer frame is fitted onto an outer periphery of a smartphone. The lenticular lens sheet is integrated with the outer frame and covers a rear surface of the smartphone. The plurality of LED chips is arranged parallel to a longitudinal direction of cylindrical lenses on a flat surface side of the lenticular lens sheet. A drive unit changes a light emission state of each of the plurality of LED chips. The drive unit is connected with a control unit of the smartphone through a connection point and the connection point. The drive unit changes the light emission state of each LED chip in accordance with an operating state of the smartphone operated by the control unit.

A method for manufacturing the gluing sheet includes forming a layer including a pressure-sensitive adhesive microcapsule on a support by applying the pressure-sensitive adhesive microcapsule-containing liquid onto the support and then carrying out radiation irradiation. A method for manufacturing a laminate includes gluing the gluing sheet and an adherend by bringing a surface of the layer including the pressure-sensitive adhesive microcapsule in the gluing sheet and the adherend into contact with each other and compressing them together.

Light-scattering substrate, method for manufacturing light-scattering substrate, polarizing plate and image display device

A plurality of substantially conical or pyramidal elements are formed inside a sheet-like binder. The binder has smooth surfaces. The elements and the binder cooperate to refract light incident on a brightness enhancement sheet from a surface on a diffusion sheet side to the other surface in a direction normal to the brightness enhancement sheet. Thus, the front brightness is enhanced. The elements are distributed along one of the surfaces of the brightness enhancement sheet with vertices pointing in one direction toward one of the surfaces. The elements are formed by trapping gas bubbles in the binder and differ in refractive index from the binder.

A method for producing a light scattering film is provided and includes: casting onto a support a dope containing at least a thermoplastic resin and light transmitting particles to provide a casted film, and peeling and drying the casted film to prepare a light transmitting base material; applying an coating solution containing at least a curable compound, a polymerization initiator, and a solvent onto the light transmitting base material and drying the solvent; and curing the curable compound to form a cured layer. At least one surface of the light transmitting base material has an asperity shape, the light transmitting particles have an average primary particle size greater than 2.5 &#x3bc;m but not greater than 12 &#x3bc;m, the cured layer has an average thickness of 0.1 &#x3bc;m or greater but not greater than 10.0 &#x3bc;m, and the cured layer satisfies the specific formulae.

A mixer for mixing liquid additive with polymer dope constituted by cellulose ester as polymer and solvent is provided. There is a mixing conduit for flow of the polymer dope. A supply conduit ejects liquid additive into the polymer dope in the mixing conduit. A rotor hub is positioned downstream from the supply conduit, contained in the mixing conduit rotatably about an axis directed in a flow direction of the polymer dope, and has a diameter decreasing end on an upstream side. A driving device with electromagnets rotates the rotor hub by electromagnetic induction through a chamber inside the mixing conduit. Furthermore, a support is disposed within the mixing conduit to extend transversely to the flow direction, for supporting the rotor hub rotatably. Flow openings are formed in the support, for passing the polymer dope in the flow direction about the rotor hub.

Mixer and mixing method of mixing polymer dope, and solution casting apparatus and process

A mixer in a solution casting system mixes liquid additive with polymer dope fed through a flow line and constituted by cellulose ester as polymer and solvent. A mixer housing is in the flow line for passing the polymer dope through to be mixed. A supply conduit causes flow of the liquid additive for addition to the polymer dope. A distribution channel is formed with the supply conduit, positioned in the flow line, for spreading the liquid additive in a transverse direction of a flow passage in the flow line, to eject the liquid additive. A rotor hub is shaped with a decreasing diameter, contained in the mixer housing, opposed to the distribution channel, and directs the polymer dope in a ring shape after addition of the liquid additive. The flow line collects the polymer dope in a position downstream from the rotor hub.

Mixing method and mixer for mixing polymer dope, and solution casting process and apparatus

In a casting process of a film production, a casting dope is discharged through an outlet of a casting die. In the casting die, lip plates and inner deckle plates are arranged such that a lower end of each inner deckle plates may be form a protrusion at a side edge of the outlet of the casting die. Each protrusion length from a bottom of the lip plate is at most 9 &#x3bc;m. Thus the retaining of the casting dope near the outlet through a dope passage in the casting die is reduced, and therefore the skinning doesn't occur in the casting dope.
