While displaying related graphical object(s), the created graphic symbol and its specified pattern and color attribute(s) are retained within such displayed related graphical object(s), wherein the related graphical object(s) are recognizable as related to the first graphical object by the persistence of the specific graphic symbol pattern and designated colors.

A persistent filter refining system places a search result comprising objects in a dynamic non-persistent bucket and displays the search result in a dynamic non-persistent bucket display for selection of the objects by a user. The system transfers a selected object from the dynamic non-persistent bucket to a persistent bucket and displays the transferred selected object in a persistent bucket display. The system iteratively provides additional search results to the user for selection and transfer of additional selected objects to the persistent bucket to provide access by a user to take action on the transferred selected object and additional selected objects. In one embodiment, the present system displays one or more additional search results for comparison and selection of objects by the user.

Described is a system and a computer program product for visually delineating a relationship between diverse, but related graphical objects in a graphical user interface. An icon that has specified color scheme is associated with the diverse, but related but graphical objects. When one of the related graphical objects is displayed, the icon is displayed within the displayed graphical object. The persistence of the icon with the specified color scheme in the displayed graphical objects allows them to be recognized as related. In a particular instance, the icon is displayed with each graphical object in a series of graphical objects that represent an evolution of progression of development.

A computer implemented method, data processing system, and computer usable code are provided for automatically generating object setup scripts. A form is presented to a user in a graphical user interface. The user provides input in a set of fields within the form, which is received and validated. A set of object setup scripts are then generated based on the user input to the form. To generate the set of object setup scripts based on the user input an analysis is performed on the set of fields as a set of objects, and at least one variable is set to hold the value of the set of objects. String manipulations are used to obtain the values in the set of fields, and the values are entered into the set of object setup scripts.

As a user traverses related windows belonging to the same family, the initial icon, displayed as a watermark, is persistent throughout each of the related windows and is displayed in an area maximizing visibility, e.g. on the outer perimeter of the window workspace to maximize the likelihood of being seen when multiple windows overlap.
