A vehicle speed is lower than a first threshold, a control device controls both a first drive unit and a second drive unit to output a requested driving force by setting an operation mode of the first drive unit to a first mode when the requested driving force is smaller than a second threshold and the charge level of a power storage device is equal to or higher than a third threshold, and controls both the first drive unit and the second drive unit to output the requested driving force by setting the operation mode of the first drive unit to a second mode when the requested driving force is equal to or larger than the second threshold or the charge level of the power storage device is lower than the third threshold.

Vehicle drive device

A vehicle drive device is provided that can suppress the increase in dimension in the radial direction while ensuring a sufficient speed reduction ratio. Two driving force sources are arranged on a first axis, two output members are arranged on a second axis, two counter gear mechanisms are arranged on a third axis. A planetary gear mechanism is configured to transmit rotation from the two counter gear mechanisms to the output members, and is disposed so as to overlap with both of the two counter gear mechanisms as seen in an axial direction along and axial direction.

A first case portion includes an end wall portion disposed on a first axial side with respect to a transmission. A second case portion is disposed on the first axial side with respect to a rotor of a rotary electric machine, and includes a first support portion that supports a rotor shaft and a second support portion disposed on a second axial side with respect to the rotor of the rotary electric machine to support the rotor shaft. The second support portion includes a bearing attachment portion to which a rotor bearing for supporting the rotor shaft is attached, and radially extending portion that extends from bearing attachment portion toward an outer side in a radial direction. A speed reducer is disposed between the radially extending portion and the end wall portion in axial direction to face the radially extending portion and the end wall portion in the axial direction.

A vehicle driving apparatus including: a rotating electrical machine that acts as a source of driving force for a first wheel and a second wheel; a speed reduction device that reduces a speed of rotation of the rotating electrical machine; a differential gear device that distributes, to the first wheel and the second wheel, the driving force transmitted from the rotating electrical machine via the speed reduction device; a case that houses the rotating electrical machine, the speed reduction device, and the differential gear device; and an oil circulator.

A vehicle drive includes a speed change mechanism connected to a rotary electric machine; an output member connected to the speed change mechanism and wheels; an engagement device changes a state of engagement between an input member connected to an engine and the speed change mechanism; a hydraulic pump driven by the engine or the rotary electric machine; a first pressure control device that controls pressure supplied from the pump and supplies the pressure to the speed change mechanism; a second, separate hydraulic pressure control device that controls the pressure supplied from the pump and supplies the pressure to the engagement device; and a case that houses the rotary electric machine, speed change mechanism, engagement device, and pump. At least the engagement device is housed in a space formed by the case, and the second hydraulic pressure control device is provided at a part of the case forming the space.

A vehicle drive device, wherein the fluid coupling accommodating space is formed between the rotating electrical machine accommodating space and the speed change mechanism accommodating space in an axial direction of the speed change mechanism and is configured such that no oil is supplied to a region around the fluid coupling, the discharge oil passage has an introducing opening that opens to the second oil reservoir, and a lowest end of the introducing opening is located below a lowest end of the rotating electrical machine.
