A controller of a power supply control device includes: a comparison circuit configured to compare a parameter related to a power supply failure of a first system or of a second system with a threshold and to output a detection signal indicating an occurrence of the power supply failure; a pulse generator configured to output a pulse signal having a predetermined pulse width in response to receiving the detection signal and to disconnect the connection device to disconnect connection between the first system and the second system during a period in which the pulse signal is output; a latch circuit configured to latch the pulse signal; and a microcomputer configured to periodically acquire a latch state of the latch circuit and to determine, in response to detecting that the pulse signal is latched, in which of the first system and the second system the power supply failure occurs.

A power supply device includes: a first system; a second system; an inter-system switch configured to be able to connect and disconnect between the first system and the second system; a determining unit configured to keep the inter-system switch in an ON state in a normal time, and turn off the inter-system switch and determine which system a ground fault has occurred in, if detecting a ground fault of the first system or the second system; and a suppression circuit configured to suppress an electric discharge of the second power supply and supply electric power for ground fault detection to the second system, and the determining unit determines whether any ground fault has occurred in the second system or not, based on the electric power which is supplied from the suppression circuit to the second system.

A power supply device includes: a first system connected to a first load; a second system connected to a second load; an inter-system switch configured to connect and disconnect the first system and the second system to and from each other; a controller configured to normally supply power of a first power supply to the first system and the second system and, in response to a fault of the first system being detected, turn off the inter-system switch to supply power of a second power supply to the second system; and a backup circuit which includes a discharge regulation unit configured to regulate discharging of the second power supply.

A power supply apparatus includes: a first system configured to supply electric power of a first power supply to a first load; a second system configured to supply electric power of a second power supply to a second load; a connection unit capable of connecting and disconnecting the first system and the second system; a second system switch capable of connecting the second power supply to the second system; and an inspection unit configured to perform inspection as to whether electric power is capable of being supplied from the second power supply to the second load, and, when a voltage of the second power supply is not equal to a voltage of the first power supply, the inspection unit controls the first power supply as defined herein and conducts the second system switch to perform the inspection by stepping down or up the voltage of the first power supply.

Power supply apparatus and inspection method

A power supply control device includes a first system, a second system, an inter-system switch, a battery switch and a controller. The controller turns off an inter-system switch that connects and disconnects the systems and turns on a battery switch that connects and disconnects a second power supply to and from the second system in response to an abnormality of a first power supply or the second power supply being detected and thereafter turn on the inter-system switch and turns off the battery switch in response to determination that there is no abnormality in the power supplies. Before turning on the inter-system switch, when voltage difference between the power supplies is equal to or larger than a threshold, the controller performs convergence control, and after determining that there is no abnormality in the power supplies, the controller keeps the battery switch turned off while performing the convergence control.
