A rotation output device including a lock mechanism for automatically locking an output shaft without inertia or a need to pivot the output shaft by the operator after the input shaft stops rotating. The rotation output device includes an output gear for inputting a rotation driving force; a lock ring restricted from rotating; output rings for rotating integrally with the spindle; a click spring for rotating the output rings with respect to the output gear; float gears which are held by the output ring to be urged radially outward and are fixedly engageable with the lock ring; and central pin insertion through-holes and side pin insertion through-holes provided in the output rings for releasing the float gears radially outward and fixedly engaging the float gears with the lock ring. The click spring relatively rotates the output rings by the stoppage of the rotation driving of the output gear.

Rotation output device

The present invention has an object of providing a rotation output device, including a lock mechanism employing a movable lock member so as to define the lock position, which is capable of, when the operator operates an output shaft to pivot, preventing the movable lock member from being concomitantly rotated with the output shaft and thus providing a locking function with certainty. The rotation output device according to the present invention includes, between the lock gearsand the lock ring, a carry platefor retaining the positions of the lock gearsin the rotation direction when receiving a rotation force from the center ring. Thus, the lock ringwhich is rotational-fixed is used as a member for preventing the concomitant rotation of the lock gears

A chuck includes a driver disposed on a chuck body and in engagement with the jaws so that at least one of rotation and axial movement of the driver with respect to the body opens or closes the jaws. A first detent is disposed in the body in communication with the jaws. At least one of the jaws defines a catch at a predetermined position so that the catch engages the first detent when the jaws are at a predetermined position on the body with respect to a chuck bore.

A clamping screw for holding a tool to a threaded shaft is provided with a body member having a threaded surface for engagement with the threaded shaft. A flange ring is disposed about the body member and clampingly engages the tool when the body is threaded onto the shaft in engagement with the tool. An operating ring is rotatably disposed about the body member and retained from movement axially away from the flange ring. A torque increasing mechanism is operatively disposed about the body member between the operating ring and the flange ring and is configured to transmit torque from the operating ring to the body member. The torque increasing mechanism includes a first inclined cam surface disposed on the operating ring, a cam ring axially movably disposed but rotationally fixed about the body member, a second inclined cam surface disposed on the cam ring opposite to and corresponding to the first inclined surface, and a bearing supported on a retainer and disposed between the first inclined cam surface and the second inclined cam surface. The operating ring is rotatable with respect to the cam ring so that rotation of the operating ring applies torque and axial force to the cam ring through the bearing. A spring is operatively disposed between the cam ring and the operating ring and biases the cam ring toward an initial position with respect to the operating ring.

A lock device for an output shaft, wherein an output shaft is formed by connection of a driving shaft and a driven shaft, a play angle for not transmitting power for a specified angle in mutual rotating directions is formed in the connection area for connecting the driving shaft and driven shaft, a locking mechanism for locking by moving a lock member arrested on the driven shaft and held movably inward and outward in the radial direction is provided at the driven shaft side, and an unlocking mechanism for unlocking by moving the lock member of the locking mechanism in an unlocking direction within the rotating amount of the play angle is provided in the driving shaft.

A lock device of output shaft capable of stopping the output shaft quickly when the output shaft is controlled to stop, and locking to prevent the output shaft from rotating when the output shaft side is stopped against the drive side. The output shaft is formed by connection of drive shaft and driven shaft. Play for a specific angle is formed in mutual rotating direction, at a junction of connection of the drive shaft and driven shaft. A holding plate is fixed to the driven shaft side confronting the drive shaft in the axial center direction. An annular lock ring forming a lock pawl on the outer circumference is held movably to concentric position and eccentric position, at the holding plate side. A lock operation member is provided in the drive shaft confronting the lock ring, for allowing the lock ring to move to the concentric position when the play at the junction of the drive shaft and driven shaft is eliminated by initial rotation of rotation of drive shaft, and allowing to move to the eccentric position when rotation of the drive shaft is stopped to return a play at the junction by reaction. A internal ring forming a pawl for locking mutual rotation by mutually engaging with the lock pawl on the outer circumference of the lock ring when the lock ring is moved to the eccentric position is formed oppositely on the outer circumference of the lock ring.

The tightening screw of the invention comprises a screw member forming female threads or male threads in a shaft core part, a flange ring fitted to the outer periphery of the screw member to contact with the object to be tightened, an operating ring for feeding a rotational force by fitting oppositely to the flange ring on the outer periphery of the screw member, and a torque transmitting member interposed between the screw member and operating ring for transmitting the rotational force of the operating ring to the screw member, wherein the torque transmitting member comprises a rotation number reduction mechanism for transmitting the rotational force of the operating ring to the screw member by reducing the rotation number and thereby increase the transmitted torque, and a unidirectional torque limiter for cutting off transmission of torque in the tightening direction of the screw member to the object to be tightened at a specific load.

Tightening screw

The tightening screw of the invention comprises a screw member forming a female threads or male threads in the shaft core part, a flange ring fitted to the outer periphery of the screw member to contact with the object to be tightened, an operating ring for feeding a rotational force by fitting oppositely to the flange ring on the outer periphery of the screw member, and a torque transmitting member interspaced between the screw member and operating ring for transmitting the rotational force of the operating ring to the screw member. The torque transmitting member comprises a reduction mechanism for transmitting the rotational force of the operating ring to the screw member by reducing the speed, and a unidirectional torque limiter for cutting off transmission of torque in the tightening direction of the screw member to the object to be tightened at a specific load.

Torque enhancing tightening screw

A tightening screw in which a rotating ring is rotatably held on a flange ring, a screw member having female threads in the same pitch as the male threads of the bolt to be fitted, with the female thread diameter formed larger than the male thread diameter, is rotably held eccentrically so that some of the female threads of the screw member may be engaged with the male threads preliminarily, and the flange is fixed at the time of tightening so that the rotating ring may revolve the screw member, and thereby the decelerated rotation created in the screw member produces a large tightening force to increase the torque.

Torque enhancing clamping nut

In construction of a tool chuck in which manual rotation of an outer operation sleeve causes concurrent rotation of an inner screw ring to move clamping jaws in a chuck body following the principle of screw feeding, a solid lubrication coating layer is interposed between the screw ring and the chuck body so as to minimize friction between the two elements during their relative rotation for clamping a tool via the jaws, thereby effectively utilizing input torque from the operation sleeve for clamping operation. The solid lubrication coating layer may be applied either to a washer or directly to the screw ring.

In construction of a keyless tool chuck in which clamping torque is transmitted from a manually rotatable operation sleeve on a chuck body to tool clamping jaws in the chuck body via a power transmission unit including a cycloidal gear arrangement, an elastic impulsion sleeve is inserted between the operation sleeve and the chuck body so that elastic compressive deformation of the impulsion sleeve at forced rotation of the operation sleeve causes impulsive meshing engagement in the cycloidal gear arrangement to provide impulsive clamping force on a tool clamped by the jaws. Resultant clamping force is at least twice as large as that provided by a conventional cycloidal gear arrangement only.
