An aqueous ink containing a pigment (C.I. Pigment Yellow 101) and a resin dispersant for the pigment. The resin dispersant has a unit with an aromatic group and a unit with an anionic group.

Aqueous ink, ink cartridge and ink jet recording method

Provided is an ink jet recording method having excellent ejecting stability and capable of recording a fluorescent-colored image with an excellent color developability and abrasion resistance. The ink jet recording method includes a recording step of ejecting an aqueous ink from a recording head of an ink jet system and applying the aqueous ink to a recording medium and a heating step of heating the recording medium applied with the aqueous ink at a temperature T(° C.). The aqueous ink contains a first resin particle and a second resin particle, the first resin particle is dyed with at least one fluorescent dye selected from the group consisting of a basic dye, a disperse dye and an oil-soluble dye, and contains a cyano group-containing unit, and the second resin particle does not include any coloring material therein.

Ink jet recording method and ink jet recording apparatus

The aqueous ink for ink jet contains a resin particle dyed with a fluorescent dye, and a water-soluble resin. The fluorescent dye contains a fluorescence-emitting dye selected from the group consisting of basic dye, disperse dye and oil-soluble dye, the resin particle has a core portion that contains an aromatic group-containing unit and cyano group-containing unit, and a shell portion that contains an aromatic group-containing unit, an anionic group-containing unit and a crosslinking agent-derived unit, but free of cyano group-containing unit, percentage (% by mass) of the crosslinking agent-derived unit in the shell portion is 30% by mass or more to 80% by mass or less, the water-soluble resin having an aromatic group-containing unit and an anionic group-containing unit, and the water-soluble resin having an acid value of 100 mgKOH/g or more to 180 mgKOH/g or less.

Provided is an aqueous ink for ink jet, containing a resin particle, and a cyclic amide-based, water-soluble organic solvent. The resin particle has a core portion that contains a cyano group-containing unit, and a shell portion that contains an aromatic group-containing unit, an anionic group-containing unit and a unit derived from a crosslinking agent, but free of cyano group-containing unit. Ink jet recording using the aqueous ink can record images that excel in abrasion resistance and gloss clarity.

To provide an ink jet recording method excellent in a fixability of an image, capable of recording an image excellent in optical density, and excellent in a recoverability, when it uses a recording apparatus having a line head. This method records an image by using an ink jet recording apparatus equipped with a line head having an ejection nozzle of a pigment-containing aqueous ink and a mechanism for recovering an ejection state of the aqueous ink from the nozzle and applying the ink to a recording medium. The pigment has an average particle diameter of 80 nm or more, the ink has a dynamic surface tension of 55 mN/m or less at a lifetime of 10 milliseconds, the recovery mechanism includes a mechanism for causing the ink in the nozzle to flow, and the viscosity of the ink in the nozzle is reduced.

To provide an aqueous ink for ink jet enabling the recording of an image having excellent character quality and excellent highlighter resistance immediately after the recording. An aqueous ink for ink jet includes a pigment and a urethane resin. The urethane resin has a unit derived from a polyisocyanate, a unit derived from a polyol having no acid group and a unit derived from a polyol having an acid group, the proportion of a unit derived from the polyol having an acid group present at the molecular terminal relative to the whole unit derived from the polyol having an acid group is 30% or less, and the aqueous ink has a dynamic surface tension of 55 mN/m or more at a lifetime of 10 msec.

An aqueous ink for ink jet, the aqueous ink including a pigment and a resin for dispersing the pigment. The pigment is impregnated with a compound having a structure in which at least two structures each represented by General Formula (1) are bonded by a glycoside bond. 

Aqueous ink, ink cartridge, and ink jet recording method

An ink used for an inkjet recording method for discharging the ink from a recording head by an action of thermal energy contains self-dispersing carbon black, a polyurethane polymer having an acid value of 40 mg KOH/g or more, and an acryl polymer having an acid value of 100 mg KOH/g or more and 200 mg KOH/g or less.

Ink, ink cartridge, and inkjet recording method

An aqueous ink for ink jet contains a urethane resin. The urethane resin has a unit derived from a polyether polyol and a unit containing an acidic group. The acid value of the urethane resin is 40 to 140 mg KOH/g. The molar ratio of urethane bonds/urea bonds is 80.0/20.0 or more. Some of the acidic groups in the urethane resin are neutralized with particular neutralizing agents.

Ink, ink cartridge, and ink jet recording method

The invention provides an ink containing a polyurethane polymer which has units respectively derived from a polyisocyanate, a polyether polyol having no acid group and a diol having an acid group and has an acid value of 40 mg KOH/g or more and 140 mg KOH/g or less, a carbon black and at least one antioxidant selected from compounds represented by the general formulae (1) to (3).

An ink jet ink contains a polyurethane polymer and a self-dispersing pigment. The polyurethane polymer has units derived from a polyisocyanate, a polyol having no acid group, and a diol having an acid group. The molar ratio of the percentage of the urethane bond in the polyurethane polymer to the percentage of the urea bond in the polyurethane polymer is 85.0/15.0 or more and 100.0/0 or less. The ink jet ink may be capable of producing an image having high optical density, scratch resistance, and highlighter resistance, and which has excellent ink ejection stability and can reduce image deflection caused by face wetting.

Ink jet ink, ink cartridge, and ink jet recording method

The invention provides an ink containing a self-dispersion pigment in which a phosphonic acid group is bonded directly or through another atomic group to the surface thereof and a polyurethane polymer, wherein the surface charge amount of the self-dispersion pigment is 0.25 mmol/g or more and 0.42 mmol/g or less, and the polyurethane polymer has units respectively derived from a polyisocyanate, a polyether polyol having no acid group and a diol having an acid group.

An ink used for an inkjet recording method for discharging the ink from a recording head by an action of thermal energy contains self-dispersing carbon black, a polyurethane polymer having an acid value of 40 mg KOH/g or more, and polyethylene glycol.

An ink jet ink containing a pigment and a polyurethane polymer, wherein the polyurethane polymer has units derived from a polyol having no acid group and having the carbon number of 13 or more and 250 or less, a diol having an acid group and having the carbon number of 1 or more and 7 or less, a polyol having a siloxane structure, and a polyisocyanate, and an acid value of the polyurethane polymer is 40.0 mgKOH/g or more and 80.0 mgKOH/g or less.
