An image forming apparatus includes an apparatus body, an image forming unit, an opening and closing cover, a fixed cover that constitutes a part of an exterior of the apparatus body with the opening and closing cover, and is configured to form a boundary portion with an upper edge of the opening and closing cover in a vertical direction, a positioning portion including a first engagement portion provided in the opening and closing cover, and a second engagement portion provided in the fixed cover, a first conveyance guide provided on the opening and closing cover, and a second conveyance guide provided on the fixed cover. The first engagement portion and the second engagement portion are configured to engage with each other to perform positioning of the opening and closing cover and the fixed cover in the vertical direction and positioning of the first conveyance guide and the second conveyance guide.

Image forming apparatus

An image forming apparatus includes: a frame having (i) a resin-molded bottom surface and (ii) a side surface (a) resin-molded integrally with the bottom surface and (b) extending upward from the bottom surface; an internal structure capable of supporting an image forming portion for forming an image on a recording material; and a screw for fixing the internal structure to the bottom surface of the frame, wherein the side surface is provided to surround the internal structure, at least one of the frame and the internal structure includes at least one restricting portion which restricts relative movement between the internal structure and the frame in a vertical direction to the bottom surface, and the at least one restricting portion is provided in a position at a smaller distance from an end of the side surface than from the bottom surface in the vertical direction.

The sheet feeding apparatus includes a stacking device on which a sheet is stacked, a feeding device, which is configured to feed the stacked sheet, a contact portion arranged at a position at which the stacked sheet is brought into contact with the contact portion, and a moving member, which is movable in a direction in which a protruding amount of the stacked sheet changes.

A belt transporting device includes a belt; first and second adjustment members provided at two respective ends of a tension roller in a belt width direction orthogonal to a direction of rotation of the belt, the first and second adjustment members each being movable by receiving a force from the belt; and a link member that interlocks the movement of the first adjustment member and the movement of the second adjustment member. If the belt is laterally shifted in the belt width direction, one of the first and second adjustment members moves by receiving a force from the belt while the other is moved by the link member such that the tension roller is tilted with respect to a driving roller.
