A pair of brackets () are provided on either side of a seat back frame (), each bracket defining a support hole () for rotatably supporting a support shaft () of an arm rest, and a guide slot () for guiding a corresponding guide pin (B,C) of the arm rest along an arcuate path centered around the corresponding support hole. The two guide slots are offset from each other, and the guide pins are offset from each other in a corresponding manner in side view so that the two brackets may be offset from each other. Thereby, the layout of the brackets for rotatably supporting the arm rest can be selected in an advantageous manner.

A structure of a headrest mounted on a seat, wherein the headrest has, provided at the bottom surface thereof, an under garnish made of a hard synthetic resin material and wherein a stay of the headrest is partly supported in a holder having a head portion projecting from a top portion of a seat back of the seat, the top portion of the seat back being formed by a foam padding and a trim cover assembly overlaying the foam padding. The under garnish is provided with at least one protruding portion which protrudes downwardly therefrom. This at least one protruding portion is disposed at a location oriented towards a padding provided in the seat back. A degree to which the protruding portion protrudes from the under garnish is greater than a height of the head portion of the holder.

Disposed is a seat device wherein a first seat cushion () of a first seat () is sprung up from a seating position to an upright folded position at a location forward of the seating position. The seat device () comprises first vertical leg sections () at the front of the first seat cushion (), these vertical leg sections () extending vertically downward. First horizontal sections () extend horizontally forward from the lower ends of the first vertical leg sections (), and are rotatably connected to a first slider () which is slidably connected to a fixed rail (). In the seating position of the first seat cushion (), the lower ends of the first vertical leg sections () are supported by the floor.
