A message that contains train on-track information and reservation information of a train detection section and direction information and reservation information of a switch is circulated among a train detector, switch machine, signal device controller and a route indicating device. Via a signaling message, the train detector transmits the train detection result to the signal device controller and the route indicating device, the switch machine can transmit switch condition to the signal device controller, the route indicating device transmits route reservation to the switch machine and the signal device controller. Based on the transmitted train detection result, switch condition and route reservation condition, the signal device controller transmits travel permission or travel non-permission for the assigned route to a train.

Signaling system

A storage system includes a channel interface (IF) unit having an interface with a server, a disk IF unit having an interface with a hard disk group, a memory unit for storing data to be read/written from/to the server or the hard disk group, a switching unit, and the hard disk group. The channel IF unit, the disk IF unit, and the memory unit are connected to each other through the switching unit, and an encryption and decryption processing unit is provided between a host IF unit and a transfer controller in the channel IF unit.

Storage system executing encryption and decryption processing

A pseudorandom number generator reduced in size while maintaining high security is disclosed. The generator has a state storage unit of 2 blocks (n bits per block) and a buffer of plurality of blocks, and mixes their contents to obtain a random number sequence. The mixing is done by a nonlinear transformation unit for inputting the stored content of the buffer to output data of the same size as the input data, a first linear transformation unit for inputting the content of the state storage unit and the output of the nonlinear transformation unit to store an output into the state storage unit, and a second linear transformation unit for inputting the stored content of the buffer and the stored content of the state storage unit to store an output into the buffer. The mixed content of the state storage unit is output as a random number sequence.

Pseudorandom number generator and encryption device using the same

There is provided a hash value generation method or a hash value generator which has the following aspects and which is highly safe and is capable of executing processing at a high speed.

Trains and points are patrolled by a telegram containing the block occupancy information as a section that only one train is permitted to occupy, the information for giving lock position instructions to a point, and the point position information. A signaling system characterized by reduced designing and manufacturing costs is provided.

The invention includes dividing plaintext composed of redundancy data and a message to generate plaintext blocks each having a predetermined length; generating a random number sequence based on a secret key, generating a random number block corresponding to one of the plaintext blocks from the random number sequence, outputting a feedback value obtained as a result of operation on the one plaintext block and the random number block, the feedback value being fed back for using the operation on another plaintext block, and performing an encryption operation using the one plaintext block, random number block, and feedback value.

Method and apparatus for symmetric-key decryption

In a buffer and a state included in a pseudorandom number generating apparatus, the state has the configuration of assuming that the unit length of data processing is n, the state has a size of 3&#xd7;n bits, and the buffer has a capacity of 32&#xd7;n bits, and according to clock control, a state transformation section (state transformation function) for conducting a state alteration from time t to time t+1 uses a nonlinear function F (having an n-bit input and an n-bit output) twice, or two different nonlinear functions F and G respectively once. The state transformation section has such a configuration that a nonlinear function such as a round function of a block cipher sufficiently evaluated as to the cryptographic security and implementation.

Pseudorandom number generating apparatus or encryption or decryption apparatus using the same

In the state that a train moves from a track circuitT toward a track circuitT, and a train detection signal TDis supplied from the boundary between the track circuitsT andT to the track circuitsT andT, and the train detection signal TDis received by the train, if the signal intensity is suddenly reduced greatly immediately after the axle of the train passes the boundary between the track circuitsT andT, it can be decided that the train passes the boundary between the track circuitsT andT. Therefore, if absolute position information of the track circuitT is preserved beforehand in the train, the movement distance calculated from pulse output of a speed generator is corrected (replaced) in the absolute position information of the track circuitT, and hereafter is updated by the pulse output, thus the position of the own train can be easily detected as a movement distance.

Method for train positioning

A signaling safety system includes transmitter-receiver units for ground-train communication by radio in regular safety operation mode, using a base station and an antenna. The position of each train car is communicated from the cars to a ground train controller which detects the presence of a train on-rail. Based on the latter information, information is transmitted from the controller to each of the cars regarding corresponding speed limits. In addition to such radio transmitter-receivers, the signaling safety system also includes additional communication devices, such that, when each of the cars approaches a specific range, car information from each of the cars can be received by the controller, by communication between ground communication devices and an on-train communication device which are installed so as to communicate with each other. Concurrently with the regular safety operation, by the alternative safety system, the presence on-rail of each of the cars is controlled for each new block section. When ground-train communication by radio fails, the controller switches to operation by the alternative safety system so that safe operation of the train can be continued.
