In an offline mode, the method creates a junction object at a client device maintaining an association between a flow and a record, generates a GUI display associated with the flow using downloaded flow configuration metadata, creates a second record comprising input information for the one or more fields for a form associated with the flow via the GUI element(s) of the GUI display, and updates the junction object to maintain an association with the second record. In response to exiting the offline mode, the method automatically creates a form record associated with the record at the database system using the junction object, where the form record includes the input information for the one or more fields from the second record at the client device.

Database systems and methods are provided for providing record data to an application extension associated with a native application at a client device. One method involves a cross-platform service receiving, from the native application, a query for record data associated with a record at a database system on behalf of the application extension, determining a data source for retrieving the record data based at least in part on a configuration of the native application, converting the query into a transformed query having a different format associated with the identified data source, retrieving the record data from the identified data source using the transformed query, and providing the record data to the application extension via the native application, wherein the application extension is configurable to generate a component of a graphical user interface display using the record data.

A subscriber transmits, to a database system, a subscription to an event. Responsive to processing the message, the subscriber waits a predefined period of time. After waiting the predefined period of time, the subscriber sends a polling message to the database system. A database system receives an input for creating a work order and identifies work plan criteria based on the input. The database system uses the work plan criteria to select work plan templates, which includes work steps, from multiple work plan templates. System, method, and computer product embodiments are described for querying a database using natural language queries (NLQ) to produce actionable results in an answer card. The method allows a user to take further action with the answer card by editing the card contents, manipulating the way data is displayed, or querying the answer results for more details of the data. By the method, the user may continue exploration of the data, use the results to collaborate with others, or build a story from the data in a presentation format, such as a dashboard, while maintaining access to the real-time data of the database through the answer card. System and computer product embodiments implement the method.

Actionable answer card in natural language query

Embodiments are described for enabling a user to query a database using natural language and receive results without requiring the user to manipulate or know details of the database contents. The user is guided in the creation of the natural language query by suggested predetermined queries from a template. Natural language is parsed using the template. The approach allows a user's query words to be completed automatically from the template as the user inputs the words. The approach further allows the next suggested parts of the query to be automatically typed from the template ahead of the user's cursor. Other features provide feedback to the user for invalid or irrelevant queries that cannot be parsed, including suggesting complete predetermined queries from the template. The approach helps the user focus the query on exactly what the user seeks to learn from the database without complex, process-intensive parsing.

Some embodiments of the present invention include a method for determining a dense subset from a group of records using a graphical representation of the group of records, the graphical representation having nodes and edges, a node associated with a record from the group of records, an edge connecting two nodes associated with two related records, wherein a node is associated with a weight corresponding to a number of edges connected to the node, wherein a record is added to the dense subset based on its associated node having a highest weight and a density that satisfies a density threshold, the density being based on the content of the dense subset, and wherein the content of the dense subset is to be processed as including duplicate records.

Some embodiments of the present invention include a method for determining duplicate records in multiple objects and may include combining records associated with a first object with records associated with a second object to generate a third object, wherein the first object is related to the second object; performing de-duplication on the third object to generate a combined group of duplicate sets; and from the combined group of duplicate sets, identifying at least one duplicate set associated with both the first object and the second object based on the duplicate set having at least one record associated with the first object and at least one record associated with the second object.

The method includes generating a cluster of records from a group of records based on one or more keys; splitting the cluster of records into multiple subsets of records with each subset of records having fewer number of records than the cluster of records, wherein the splitting the cluster of records into multiple subsets of records is based on a number of records in the cluster of records exceeding a threshold; causing duplicate sets of records in each of the subsets of records to be identified, wherein a duplicate set of records includes one or more records, and wherein when a duplicate set of records includes two or more records, the two or more records are duplicates of one another; merging all of the duplicate sets of records identified from the multiple subsets of records forming a first group of duplicate sets of records; and forming a representative set of records based on selecting a representative record from each of the duplicate sets in the first group of duplicate sets of records.
