The present invention relates to a tensioning rail for a chain drive, in particular a timing chain drive of an internal combustion engine, comprising a base body () and a pressure body () connected to the base body which provides a pressing area () for pressing a chain tensioner, wherein a pressing surface () of the pressure body () which faces the chain tensioner during use is formed with a channel device (). The invention also relates to a tensioning device for an endless drive element, in particular a timing chain of an internal combustion engine, comprising a tensioning rail which can be pushed on the endless drive element having a base body () and a pressure body () which can be connected to the base body () and which provides a pressing area, and having a chain tensioner which presses on the pressing area () of the pressure body ().

A method for joining a plate chain link is to be improved, in which at least one plate is connected to at least one bolt by way of a pressing and aligning process. This is achieved by the measures that the bolt is centered in relation to a main chain axis by the simultaneous active application of symmetrical clamping forces to the faces and the least one plate is pushed by a joining lift relative to the bolt into a position symmetrical to the main chain axis. Furthermore, the invention relates to a device for carrying out the method.

Method for joining a flat-link articulated chain element

The present invention refers to a support device for applying a lateral guiding force in the case of side-arc link chains, comprising a side-arc link chain and a support element moving together with said side-arc link chain and supporting it laterally on the inner side of the chain arc. For providing a support device of the type cited at the start which requires much less constructional outlay and can be produced at a much more moderate price and which, in addition, requires little mounting space, the present invention is so conceived that the support element is defined by an endless traction means which is guided with the aid of deflection means and supported by guide means.

A conveyor apparatus having a conveyor chain and at least one supporting arm used for attaching thereto objects which are to be conveyed. The supporting arm has one of its ends connected to the conveyor chain via an overload protection means. The overload protection means has a tilting joint which is provided between the supporting arm and the conveyor chain and permitting reversible tilting of the supporting arm relative to the conveyor chain in response to a predetermined load. In the structural design of the conveyor apparatus the tilting joint is acted upon by a helical tension spring.
