Described is a set of panels (), each panel comprising: &#x22c5; a top surface () and a bottom surface (); &#x22c5; a first edge () and a second edge () parallel to the first edge (), said edges () extending between said top and bottom surfaces (); &#x22c5; a first groove () provided in the bottom surface () of each panel, said first groove () extending parallel to and along the first edge () of the panel; &#x22c5; a second groove () provided in the bottom surface () of each panel, said second groove () extending parallel to the first groove () along the second edge () of the panel; &#x22c5; a locking profile () allowing locking a first panel () with its first edge () to the second edge () of a second panel (), said locking profile () comprising a base () and at least three protruding rims () extending parallel to one another in the longitudinal direction of the locking profile (), a first rim () pressed in the first groove () of a first panel () and a second rim () situated in between the first and third rims () of each locking profile () and cooperating with a part of the first panel () such that a section () of the bottom surface () of the first panel () is clamped between the first rim and the second rim () of the locking profile (), the third rim () configured to fit in the second groove () of a second panel () thereby locking the second panel () to the first panel (), characterised in that at least the second rim () is continuous along the entire length of the locking profile (). A set of panels for covering floors, ceilings or walls is disclosed. Specifically, sets of panels including a plurality of panels joined with a mechanical locking at their adjacent edges. Each of the panels includes at least two pairs of parallel side edges. When the panels are installed in rows, the adjacent edges of two adjacent panels in one row are locked to one another and the adjacent panels of the adjacent rows are locked to one another. Locking provides connecting while preventing movement spacing the locked panels apart in a direction perpendicular to the coupled side edges by a translation in the plane of the bottom surface of the panels, and preventing movement spacing the locked panels apart in a direction perpendicular to the coupled side edges by a translation in a plane perpendicular to the bottom surface of the panels.
