Isolated composites are disclosed comprising collagen fibers isolated from asp. coral. An exemplary composite comprises as a first component a bundle of collagen fibers, the collagen fibers being isolated from asp. coral, and a second component selected from the group consisting of a polysaccharide, a polypeptide, polylipid, a synthetic polymer, a metal and a mineral, wherein the bundle of collagen fibers comprise woven fibers, twisted fibers, braided fibers, knitted fibers, tied fibers, or sutured fibers. Uses thereof and method of generating are also disclosed.

A method is disclosed for regenerating connective tissue by administering a scaffold comprising collagen fibers extracted from a soft coral. The length of the soft coral collagen fibers following stretching by about 15% is identical to the length of the fibers prior to stretching.

Method of regenerating connective tissue with a scaffold of coral-derived collagen

An isolated collagen fiber is disclosed, wherein a length of the fiber prior to stretching by about 15%, is identical to a length of the fiber following said stretching by about 15%. The fiber comprises a Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectroscopic profile as shown in FIG. Uses thereof and method of isolating are also disclosed.

Kinesin polypeptides, polynucleotides encoding same and compositions and methods of using same

Monoclonal antibodies (MAb) are provided which have binding specificity to an antigen expressed on osteogenic and fibroblastic cells (OFA) and are capable of binding to osteogenic and fibroblastic cells at a substantially higher extent as compared to their binding to skin fibroblasts and stromal adipocytes. Also provided is a novel osteogenic and fibroblastic antigen (OFA) which is expressed on osteogenic and fibroblastic cells at a higher level than its expression in skin fibroblasts and stromal adipocytes having a molecular weight of about 80 kD as determined by western blotting or immunoprecipitation. The OFA and anti-OFA-MAbs are useful in the diagnosis and treatment of various hone related conditions.
