Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for performing Synchronization Single Block (SSB) transmission using a number of SSB beams. An embodiment operates by determining a SSB index for a SSB based on a candidate position in a set of candidate positions and the number of SSB beams. The embodiment determines a shift value for the SSB index based on the candidate position and the number of SSB beams. The embodiment determines a frame timing for the SSB based the SSB index and the shift value for the SSB index. The embodiment then transmits, by radio front end circuitry, the SSB to a user equipment (UE) based on the frame timing for the SSB.

For single carrier based waveform, Discrete Fourier Transform-spread-OFDM (DFT-s-OFDM) and single carrier with a frequency domain equalizer (SC-FDE) can be considered for both DL and UL. For OFDM based transmission scheme including DFT-s-OFDM, a cyclic prefix (CP) is inserted at the beginning of each block, where the last data symbols in a block is repeated as the CP. Typically, the length of CP exceeds the maximum expected delay spread in order to overcome the inter-symbol interference (ISI). For SC-FDE transmission scheme, a known sequence (guard interval (GI), unique word (UW), etc.) can be inserted at both the beginning and end of one block. Further, a linear equalizer in the frequency domain can be employed to reduce the receiver complexity. Compared to OFDM, SC-FDE transmission scheme can reduce Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) and thus allow the use of less costly power amplifier.

An apparatus of user equipment (UE) for BWP activation and deactivation operation is disclosed. The apparatus includes baseband circuitry that includes a radio frequency (RF) interface, and one or more processors. The one or more processors are to receive radio resource control (RRC) data via the RF interface, configure a timer for a BWP according to the RRC data, and trigger the timer for the BWP in response to detection of an event associated with an access node after the BWP has been activated.

The radio front end circuitry can be configured to receive random access channel (RACH) resource configuration for communicating with a parent node and a child node. The processor circuitry can be configured to determine, based on the RACH resource configuration, a first RACH resource for communicating, in a half-duplex mode, with the parent node. The processor circuitry can be further configured to determine, based on the RACH resource configuration, a second RACH resource for communicating, in the half-duplex mode, with the child node, where the second RACH resource is orthogonal to the first RACH resource.

Some embodiments of this disclosure include apparatuses and methods for measuring and/or reporting UE-to-UE crosslink interference (CLI). In some embodiments, a communication network may use transmission reception points (TRPs) to facilitate communications for user equipment (UE). A first TRP may command a first UE to transmit a crosslink interference reference signal (CLI-RS) according to a particular time behavior. A second TRP may command a second UE to measure UE-to-UE CLI using the CLI-RS and the time behavior. The second UE may then report the measured CLI indicating a level of interference caused by the first UE.

The method further includes generating a waveform by populating a first slot and a second slot in a subframe of the waveform using the data samples, wherein slot durations of the first slot and the second slot in the subframe of the waveform equal respective durations of a first slot and a second slot in a subframe of a reference waveform to thereby align the first slot and the second slot in the subframe of the waveform with the respective first slot and second slot in the subframe of the reference waveform.
