Disclosed herein an electric parking brake including a ball-screw type power conversion unit installed in a caliper housing to convert a rotational force into a linear motion. The electric parking brake includes a motor configured to generate a rotational force, a first gear unit including a first connection portion, the first connection portion directly connected to a main helical gear provided on a motor shaft of the motor, a second gear unit including a second connection portion, the second connection portion spaced apart from the first connection portion by a predetermined distance and directly connected to the main helical gear, and a reduction gear unit connected to any one of the first gear unit and the second gear unit and configured to transmit the rotational force generated from the motor to a spindle of the power conversion unit, wherein any one of the first and second gear units is configured to perform a self-locking function when a parking braking force is generated.

The present disclosure relates to an actuator for a brake device. The actuator includes a housing having a motor accommodating part and a gear accommodating part, a motor accommodated in the motor accommodating part, and a reduction device accommodated in the gear accommodating part, wherein the reduction device includes, a crossed helical gear reduction unit including a driving crossed helical gear coupled to a shaft of the motor, and a ring wheel provided with a driven crossed helical gear engaged with the driving crossed helical gear on an outer circumference thereof, and a planetary gear reduction unit including a sun gear rotating together with the ring wheel, a ring gear provided as an internal gear, a plurality of planetary gears engaged with the sun gear and the ring gear, and a carrier on which the plurality of planetary gears is rotatably supported and having an output shaft.

An actuator for a brake device according to embodiment of the disclosure includes a housing accommodating a motor, a power transmission unit connected to the motor, and a reduction gear unit connected to the power transmission unit; and a cover covering an open top of the housing and having a shaft support portion; wherein the reduction gear unit includes a worm wheel including a concave receiving groove on an upper surface thereof and a locking rib provided in the receiving groove, a sun gear supported rotatably on a bottom of the receiving groove and having a support rib contactable with the locking rib during rotation, and a clutch spring provided in a state of being slidably wound around an outer circumferential surface of the shaft support portion, and configured to tighten or loosen selectively an outer circumferential surface of the shaft support portion according to a rotation direction when the worm wheel and the sun gear are rotated relative to each other.

Disclosed herein an electric parking brake includes a pair of pressing portions provided in a caliper housing to convert rotational motion into linear motion to press a brake pad; an actuator configured to transmit power to the pair of pressing portions; and a load control portion provided rotatably between the pair of pressing portions and the actuator, the load control portion applying a uniform load to the pair of pressing portions by pressing any one of the pair of pressing portions that generates a less load during braking operation.

The present disclosure relates to an actuator for an electronic parking brake and, more particularly, to an actuator for an electronic parking brake, whereby a motor may be stably fixed using a simple structure. To this end, an actuator for an electronic parking brake according to the present disclosure comprises: a motor having a bracket to fix a position of a motor housing; a main housing in which the motor is accommodated; and a main cover seated on an upper end of the main housing, wherein a first fastening protrusion extending downward to be inserted into a first fastening groove formed in the motor housing and a second fastening protrusion extending outward in the radial direction to be inserted into a second fastening groove formed in the main housing are formed on the bracket, and when the motor is assembled, the second fastening groove supports the second fastening protrusion to prevent the axial direction movement of the second fastening protrusion.
