A bubble-jet type ink-jet printhead is provided. When forming a doughnut-shaped bubble, the printhead allows bubbles to be first grown around the heater that surrounds the central axis of the nozzle at regular angles followed by the formation of another bubble between the earlier formed bubbles, thereby forming a larger doughnut-shaped bubble. Accordingly, this can prevent the formation of an unbalanced doughnut-shaped bubble due to variations in local resistance of the heater, which may be caused by a process error. Furthermore, the printhead allows the center of the doughnut-shaped bubble to be set on the central axis of the nozzle thus causing a droplet formed within the doughnut-shaped bubble to be ejected in a normal manner, that is, in a direction vertical to the nozzle plate.

Bubble-jet type ink-jet printhead

An ink cartridge for an ink jet printer includes an ink storing portion for containing ink and a head for ejecting droplets of the ink stored in the ink storing portion. The ink storing portion includes a chamber filed with ink in a liquid state, a negative pressure maintaining apparatus for maintaining the pressure of the inside of the chamber to be negative, and a uniform supply guide apparatus, installed between the chamber and the head, for guiding the ink in the chamber to be uniformly supplied to the head. Thus, since the ink is used by being stored in a liquid state, most of the amount of the stored ink can be used for printing, so that the efficiency in use can be improved much.

Ink cartridge for ink jet printer

There is provided an inkjet print head including: a substrate; a nozzle plate which forms a space where ink is to be filled between the substrate and the nozzle plate and on which plural orifices for ejecting ink are formed; and heaters which form bubbles to push ink droplets out through the orifices, wherein the heaters are installed on elevation parts elevated from the substrate and inserted into the orifices. According to such a structure, since the orifices for ejecting ink droplets, themselves, act as partition members against adjacent heaters, the structure can be greatly simplified. It becomes possible to control the ejection of ink droplets precisely because there is little possibility that reverse flow occurs when bubbles are expanded.

Inkjet print head

An ink jet printer head and method for discharging ink in an ink chamber through a nozzle hole by a fluid pressure of air. The ink jet printer head having a fluid chamber defined on or in a side of a silicon plate to be charged with a fluid, such as air, and a through-hole which communicates with an ink chamber. The ink jet printer head opens the through-hole by operating a piezo-actuator, pressures ink in the ink chamber, and pushes a tail of the ink during ink discharge. Accordingly, uniform shapes of ink droplets can be obtained resulting in a high resolution print.

Ink jet printer head and method for discharging ink from an ink jet printer head using a fluid pressure

An ink tank for an ink jet printer is provided. The ink tank includes a tank body, a sponge disposed in the tank body, for absorbing and storing ink, an air flow member positioned above the sponge, for guiding air outside the ink tank to be induced into the ink tank, a nozzle coupled to one end of the air flow member, for supplying air outside the ink tank to the ink tank, and an air flow hole formed at one side of the tank body connected to the other end of the air flow member, and opened/closed by a sealing means installed on a printer frame according to the movement of the carrier and the ink tank. The air outside the ink tank is supplied only during the printing operation, thereby preventing evaporation of moisture contained in the ink stored in the ink tank. Also, the internal pressure of the ink tank is adjusted to be lower than the atmospheric pressure, thereby preventing leaking of ink.

Ink tank for ink jet printer

A fluid jetting apparatus includes a nozzle part, a driving part, and a membrane. The nozzle part has an ink chamber and a nozzle hole. The driving part has a working fluid chamber and a heating element. The membrane serves as a partition between the ink chamber and the working fluid chamber. The working fluid chamber has an ink feeding hole through which the ink is fed from an external ink source. An intercommunicating hole is formed on the ink chamber, intercommunicated with the working fluid chamber. The ink is fed into the working fluid chamber and is fed to the ink chamber through an intercommunicating passage. During the heating operation of the heating element, the ink chamber is pressured by the membrane, so that the ink is jetted through the nozzle hole. The ink in the working fluid chamber flows into the ink chamber through the intercommunicating passage, and the ink flows into the working fluid chamber through the ink feeding hole. Accordingly, the working fluid chamber is cooled, and the durability of the fluid jetting apparatus is lengthened.

Thermal-compression type fluid jetting apparatus using ink

A plate for supporting a light path refraction plate arranged in front of a color coupled device in a manner that the light path refraction plate is rotated in multi-directions, and an image processing device including the plate, which is capable of improving the resolution of the color coupled device by successively projecting lights of an object to a plurality of places on a pixel of the color coupled device. The plate includes a frame for supporting the light path refraction plate, a first holder for rotatably supporting the frame in a second direction, a second holder for rotatably supporting the first holder in a first direction which is in perpendicular relation with respect to the second direction, a first connecting section for connecting the first and second holders, and a second connecting section for connecting the frame and the first holder. The image processing device includes the light path refraction plate, the plate, and the driving section. The light path refraction plate refracts and projects an incident ray from an object to the color coupled device. The driving section drives the light path refraction plate in a manner that the respective lights of the image of the object are successively projected to a predetermined number of places in the respective pixels of the color coupled device. The driving section includes a pair of piezoelectric actuators for rotating the frame and the first holder within a predetermined angular range, and a driving circuit for applying the driving signal to the pair of piezoelectric actuators.
