Provided are an apparatus for diagnosing a disease and a method for diagnosing same. The apparatus includes a pump for pumping respiratory gas, a first pre-treatment portion connected to the pump and removing moisture and bad breath in the respiratory gas, and a volatile organic compound detector connected between the first pre-treatment portion and the pump and detecting volatile organic compounds in the respiratory gas.

Disclosed is a sensor and a method of manufacturing the same. The method includes forming a plurality of electrodes on a substrate and forming a sensor layer on the substrate between the plurality of electrodes. The forming of the sensor layer includes coating a nanoparticle layer, providing deionized water on the nanoparticle layer to form a spontaneous transition layer, and annealing the spontaneous transition layer to form the sensor layer.

Sensor and method of manufacturing the same

Provided is a cancer treatment device which includes a first electrode and a second electrode, which are electrically connected to a signal generator and face each other with a target area therebetween, and a temperature sensor which is electrically connected to the signal generator and disposed adjacent to the target area. A cancer cell is present in the target area. The signal generator applies an AC voltage between the first electrode and the second electrode to generate an electric field between the first electrode and the second electrode. The signal generator changes an intensity of the electric field on the basis of a temperature detected from the temperature sensor. Each of the first electrode and the second electrode includes a ferroelectric material doped with manganese.

Present disclosure provides a portable viscometer including a body and a measuring unit disposed on one side of the body. The measuring unit includes a capillary tube detachably attached to the measuring unit, and a first sensor and a second sensor, the first and second sensors being disposed adjacent to the capillary tube and vertically spaced apart from each other, and the capillary tube includes a bead therein. The bead may be fixed on the inner surface of the capillary tube by a fixing compound which is soluble in a fluid to be measured.

Provided is an apparatus for analyzing a bio-material. According to an embodiment of the inventive concept, the apparatus may include a light distribution part having grooves, a reflective layer provided on the grooves, and a light emitting part configured to emit light to the light distribution part. The grooves may be recessed from a top surface of the light distribution part, and sidewalls of the grooves may be inclined with respect to the top surface of the light distribution part. The grooves may include a first groove and a second groove. A distance between the light emitting part and the second groove may be greater than that between the light emitting part and the first groove, and a bottom surface of the second groove may be disposed at a level lower than that of a bottom surface of the first groove.

Provided is a microfluidic control apparatus that includes at least one control means and a microfluidic control chip.
