Provided is a liquid chromatography apparatus for fast measuring, and more particularly, a liquid chromatography apparatus which includes a first column and a second column having different component separations for an interest component within a sample and makes components primarily separated in the first column be secondarily separated in the second column of a first channel unit before a switching valve is switched, makes the components primarily separated in the first column be continuously discharged through a second channel unit after the switching valve is switched, thereby improving the component separation and achieving the fast measuring.

The present invention relates to a method for preparing a sialic acid derivative characterized by performing both of a process for preparing CMP-N-acetylneuraminic acid using N-acetyl-D-glucosamine and a process for preparing the sialic acid (neuraminic acid) derivative that combines a sialic acid with a galactose derivative or a lactose derivative, together, in one reactor. According to the method for preparing a sialic acid derivative of the present invention, expensive cytidine 5'-monophosphate (CMP) is capable of being recycled in a reactor, such that an amount of the CMP introduced into the reactor may be reduced, and the sialic acid derivative is capable of being prepared at a significantly high efficiency by using cheap N-acetyl-D-glucosamine, and pyruvate as substrates.

An apparatus and method for assisting medication are disclosed. The apparatus includes a medication box and a medication service device. The medication box includes a plurality of containers each storing a paper bag of medication, and discharges a paper bag of medication from a corresponding one of the containers using a rotational force of an electric motor, and detects whether the stored paper bag of medication is present or is discharged. Provided is a method and apparatus for encoding and decoding multi-view video data. The encoding method includes: decomposing each view image of the multi-view video into an overlapped region and a non-overlapped region, the overlapped region being overlapped with other view image and the non-overlapped region not being overlapped with other view image; generating a stitched image by combining the non-overlapped region of each view image and a middle view image; encoding the stitched image using a first encoding algorithm; and encoding the overlapped region of each view image, using a second encoding algorithm. Further, the decomposing step includes the steps of estimating disparity information for each view image, based on a predetermined view image; and decomposing each view image into said overlapped region and said non-overlapped region using the estimated disparity information.

Provided are an apparatus and method of searching a protein active site. The apparatus includes a database which stores information on a plurality of reference active sites, a comparing unit which calculates 3D structural similarities according to the number of overlapping residues, with respect to an input active site and the stored reference active site, and a search unit which searches the reference active site with respect to the input active site according to the similarities. Accordingly, similar active sites can be searched with a low computational complexity, thereby be used for a correct new drug design.
