Contemplated validation systems provide access to a master validator, one or more remote validators, and an authorized party such that validation using a validation script can be performed in a flexible manner that allows modifications to the script in real time. Typically, modifications are requested by a remote validator in the field where the remote validator can not answer a validation request generated by the validation script in a proper or predetermined manner. A master validator will receive the request and modify the validation script accordingly to allow the validation to proceed. Most typically, modification of the script is authorized by an authorized party.

Integrated acceptance testing

Systems and methods of alert and notification transmission are contemplated in which a low-range transceiver provides an alert/notification to a plurality of users having a wearable transceiver. Most typically, the low-range transceiver (a) is located in a wide area notification zone and a trigger device provides a signal from a wide area notification device to the low-range transceiver and (b) is used to also provide non-emergency notifications to the wearable transceivers. It should be appreciated that transmission of the emergency signal using the low-range transceiver is automatic, while transmission of the non-emergency notifications requires manual user input.

In essence, the test system is used to both simulate a plant to be controlled and to monitor, validate, and or modify the internal state of the control system controller and possibly the control system I/O interface. Plant simulation is accomplished by simulating the I/O devices to which the control system is coupled (and hence the plant processes) when installed in its operational environment. In addition to the simulation of I/O devices, the test system takes advantage of the fact that many commonly used controller and I/O interfaces are capable of communication with other devices by using such communications ability to provide instructions to or obtain information from a control system's controller(s) and I/O interface(s).
