An electronic device includes a touch-sensitive display screen to display a graphical representation of a mathematical relationship and to enable a user to enter a one-dimensional touch gesture thereon for performing a one-dimensional adjustment function for the displayed graphical representation. A display adjustment module interprets the one-dimensional touch gesture and performs the one-dimensional adjustment function. The display adjustment module performs a one-dimensional zoom adjustment function in response to one of a one-dimensional pinch touch gesture and a one-dimensional spread touch gesture. The one-dimensional zoom adjustment function increases or reduces a displayed range of values in a first dimension while maintaining unchanged a displayed range of values in a second dimension of the displayed graphical representation.

The present subject matter relates to verifying functionality restrictions of a computing device. In an example implementation, the verification includes generating a notification message based on a verification code received in the computing device and status of a configuration mode in the computing device. When the status of the configuration mode is active, at least one functionality of the computing device is restricted. The configuration mode can be activated in the computing device by execution of a configuration file. The generated notification message is provided, which enables verifying that the at least one functionality of the computing device is restricted.

Examples disclose a computing system comprising a computing device with a display surface to detect a selection of functionality from a list of functionalities to be disabled on a calculator. Further, the computing device creates a custom configuration based on the selected functionality. Additionally, the examples also disclose a calculator with a processor to integrate the custom configuration, the custom configuration restricts the selected functionality on the calculator.

To perform a binary-coded decimal (BCD) calculation, a processor receives values on which the BCD calculation is to be performed. A carry resulting from the BCD calculation is stored in a flag register of the processor, and the carry stored in the flag register is used to compute a result of the BCD calculation.

A system comprises a processor and a keyboard coupled to the processor. The keyboard comprises a mathematical function key and an arrow key. When the mathematical function key is pressed, the processor causes the display to display a sequence of math functions or math menu choices upon a user repeatedly pressing the arrow key. For each math function displayed on the display, the processor concurrently also causes the result of the math function to be displayed without the user pressing another key.

A method for transferring a signal between a calculator device having a USB connector and a remote device is described. The method includes: connecting the calculator device with the remote device using the USB connector; transmitting a signal from the remote device to the calculator device using the USB connector; and receiving the transmitted signal from the remote device. In accordance with the method, a predetermined size segment of a number is converted to a binary representation wherein the predetermined size segment is based on the processor word size. Also described is a method of converting a number represented in binary form and comprised of more than one segment, wherein the segment size is determined based on processor word size, to a decimal representation. A first decimal segment resulting from converting a segment of the more than one binary segments to decimal form is combined with a second decimal segment resulting from converting another segment of the more than one binary segments to decimal form.
