A high-voltage circuit breaker. The high voltage circuit breaker filled with insulating gas having a main axis A, including arcing contacts and an insulating nozzle, wherein an insulating gas flowing from a storage chamber and heated by an electric arc between the two arcing contacts is partitioned into a first gas flow and a second gas flow conducted outside of the insulating nozzle from opposite directions toward a main gas chamber, wherein the first gas flow flows through a first intermediary gas chamber and the second gas flow flows through a second intermediary gas chamber and is partitioned in a first portion directed to the main gas chamber and a second portion directed to an exhaust gas chamber, characterized in that the first portion of the second gas flow is smaller than the second portion of the second gas flow.

Circuit breaker comprising an improved gas flow management

Provided herein is an electric arc-blast nozzle for a circuit breaker comprising a median part internally defining an axial electric arc cut-off passage and formed with a first dielectric material, first and second end parts formed with the first dielectric material and extending on either side of the median part and being intended to receive first and second arc contacts being axially moveable in relation to each other. The nozzle further comprises a sheath that is disposed on the external surface of the first end part and on a portion of the external surface of the neck-forming median part, said portion having the same radial external section than the first end part, is formed with a second dielectric material different from the first dielectric material and is obtained from a second composition comprising a thermoplastic polymer chosen from either a polysulfone or a polyetherimide, but not comprising fibrous reinforcements.

A relief valve for discharging a dielectric gas between two volumes (V, V) of a high-voltage or medium-voltage interrupting chamber. There is used as a closure member a flexible metal blade secured to the body, the closure member therefore being opened by deformation of the flexible blade from a closed position (FIG.) in which it is pressed against a closure member seat formed in the body to a fully open position in which it fits closely against a stop member secured to the valve body while remaining within its elastic limit, the open passage for the gas being open in this fully open position (FIG.A) and the return of the blade from its fully open position to its closed position being possible because of its flexibility.
