The present invention provides personal cleaning articles useful for cleaning and/or exfoliating the skin. These articles provide multiple distinct patterns of relatively smooth and coarse elements to provide a user the ability to readily achieve the desired degree of cleansing and/or exfoliation. Further, the article provides a relatively smooth apertured outer layer and a relatively coarse underlying layer whereby a user can, with the application of varied amounts of pressure, more readily achieve and control a wider range of mechanical cleaning and/or exfoliating action against the skin. In certain aspects, the article may also be impregnated with one or more topical skin cleaning and/or exfoliating compounds.

Personal care cleaning article

A training device for nasal hygiene comprises a facial tissue sheet; where the facial tissue sheet has a first side, and where the facial tissue sheet also has a second side having an opposing planar relationship to the first side. A first-side tissue graphic is visible on the first side of the facial tissue sheet. The first-side tissue graphic comprises a permanent graphic and/or an active graphic. In addition, the first-side tissue graphic is a training mark.

Hygiene training device and method

In order to improve the reliability of cleanly dispensing the first tissue in a pop-up dispensing tissue container, a relatively high strength sacrificial top sheet is interfolded with the tissue clip. The sacrificial top sheet is adhered to the underside of a removable surfboard in the top of the container, such that when the surfboard is removed to access the tissues, the sacrificial sheet is simultaneously removed, which causes the first tissue to pop up into a ready position for subsequent dispensing by the user.

Tissues are provided as multi-ply tissue products having greater tactile sensation and resiliency in hand. Improved tissues may have a thickened and reduced density middle layer. The tissues may serve as applicators for chemical agents to be released during use of the tissue. A tissue having an improved tactile impression to the consumer, with enhanced resilience and high external bulk is disclosed. In one embodiment, a multi-ply structure having at least three plies is desirable. A middle or intermediate ply is comprised an increased thickness and a greater bulk is employed. In general, the exterior plies of the tissue are smooth and desirable to the consumer.

Enhanced multi-ply tissue products

A dispenser for sheet materials includes a top portion, a bottom portion, and a restraining member preventing the top and bottom portion from separating. The top portion and the bottom portion can telescope to vary the dispenser's overall height. In one embodiment, by designing a dispenser having bottom sidewalls and top sidewalls of approximately the same length, problems with access to the exposed sheet or excessive manipulation to change the dispenser's height can be avoided. In another embodiment, by designing the dispenser such that the height of the dispenser can automatically reduce as the sheet material is depleted or where the height can be adjusted by simply pushing down on the dispenser's top makes the dispenser convenient to use.

Adjustable sheet dispenser

A soothing anti-viral lotion composition and a lotioned tissue product having a surface with the lotion composition applied thereto, and methods for making and using the same. The lotion composition includes an anti-viral organic acid and a topical delivery system. The topical delivery system includes one or more polyesters which allow incorporation of the organic acids into the lotion formulation, controls their delivery, and maintains them in the stratum corneum. The lotion composition may optionally contain a surfactant, an irritation inhibiting agent, and other additives.

Anti-viral lotion tissue, and methods for making and using the same

A soft uncreped throughdried tissue product includes a distribution of surface deposits of an additive composition adapted to reduce skin irritation and redness or otherwise deliver a benefit to the user. An array of primary delivery zones with a relatively high additive add-on amount in combination with supplementary delivery zones with a relatively lower add-on amount effectively maximize consumer benefit while minimizing the total amount of additive on the tissue.

Uncreped throughdried tissue with controlled coverage additive

A soft tissue product includes deposits of a surface additive composition disposed in primary and supplementary delivery zones having different add-on levels. The supplementary add-on level is greater than 0 and less than the primary add-on level. For example, the supplementary add-on level may be from about 0.5 to about 80 percent of the primary add-on level. In particular embodiments, the primary delivery zones cover from about 30 to about 90 percent of the tissue and the supplementary delivery zones cover from about 10 to about 70 percent of the tissue. The different add-on levels effectively maximize consumer benefit while minimizing the total amount of additive on the tissue.

Controlled coverage additive application

A tissue product is disclosed which provides a cooling feeling when in contact with skin. A suitable implementation includes a soft uncreped throughdried tissue product having generally uniformly distributed surface deposits of a chemical composition that contains an oil, a wax, and preferably a fatty alcohol. Suitable compositions include those which have a melting point of from about 30&deg; C. to about 70&deg; C. and which are applied to the outer surfaces of the tissue product in melted form.

Cool feeling tissue product and method

This invention is directed to a facial tissue dispensing system which is a portable, flexible pack for dispensing tissues. The portable, flexible pack container is thin yet contains large tissues for cleaning when paper towels or rags are not available. Each of the large tissues is reversibly pre-folded three times onto itself in the lateral direction, and is not pre-folded in the longitudinal direction. The tissues are folded such that they unfold as they are being dispensed through the tissue dispensing opening of the container. After being placed into the portable, flexible pack container, the container is itself folded in half or folded in thirds ensuring the tissue dispensing opening on the top wall of the container is contained inside the fold or folds of the container. In this manner, tissues are kept clean and dry.

Portable, soft pack facial tissue dispensing system

A soft tissue product is disclosed having uniformly distributed surface deposits of a solidified composition having a melting point of from about 30.degree. C. to about 70.degree. C. The solidified composition is applied to the outer surfaces of the tissue product in melted form, preferably by rotogravure printing. The solidified composition contains an oil, a wax, and preferably a fatty alcohol.

Soft treated tissue

Disclosed is a process for producing a crimp-bonded fibrous cellulosic laminate. The process includes the steps of: 1) providing at least two superposed plies of a fibrous cellulosic material; 2) passing the superposed plies through a crimp roll arrangement including a rotating crimp element and a rotating anvil element; and 3) applying a pressure load against the rotating elements sufficient to crimp bond the fibrous cellulosic material plies into a laminate. The crimp element has protruding members configured in a discontinuous pattern aligned on an axis that is parallel to the cross-machine direction to provide a substantially continuous uniform area of localized surface contacts between the rotating crimp and anvil elements across the width of the plies. Also disclosed is an overall crimp-bonded fibrous cellulosic laminate and an apparatus for crimp-bonding multiple superposed plies of a fibrous cellulosic material.
